After leaving her there in the street with the umbrella, I stop my car. A strange emotion fills my heart. I don't know what it is, but it hurts the most.
I rub my heart with my hand twice and tighten my grip back on the steering wheel. I know everything is messed up. I don't know what I'm doing here, but I know I'm messed up.
I know she doesn't have any place to go, so that's why I stopped my car after I turned onto the next street and waited for her. For her. I stay in the car for her.
I hear footsteps, and finally, she comes into view. Her head is down, and she's holding the umbrella I gave her tightly. While I'm here feeling confused, she's there in fear.
She lifts her head in my direction and gasps, her lips parting. Damn, I want to suck them hard. The more I think about that image, the more my heart aches with pain.
She comes closer and asks in an annoyed tone, "Are you also a homeless person?" Her tone is laced with annoyance. "Umm, by 'also,' I didn't mean I am."
I don't respond to her humor. The silence between us stretches on, thick with unspoken tension.
Finally, she speaks again, her voice hesitant. "Um... would you mind giving me a ride somewhere?" she asks, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "I... I don't really have anywhere else to go."
Yes, I can ride you here, in public, in private, make you moan in pain and pleasure. I can ride you anywhere.
Even though no matter how much I want to stay quiet, my brain and my dick didn't cooperate with it. And stop it, Mahir. You just met her a few hours ago.
Are you sure?
I hesitate for a moment, weighing my options. I know I shouldn't get involved with her, but something about her vulnerability tugs at my conscience. "Of course," I reply, my voice gentler than before. "Get in."
As she settles into the passenger seat beside me, I can't shake the feeling that this chance encounter is going to change everything. Little do I know, it's just the beginning of a journey that will challenge everything I thought I knew about love, hate, and the complexities of the human heart, but I was wrong.
As we drive through the rain-soaked streets, the tension between us is palpable. I can feel her gaze burning into the side of my face, her presence a constant reminder of the mess I have gotten myself into.
"So, Mr.... whatever, what's your deal? You enjoy playing the knight in shining armor, or is this some kind of charity case for you?"
Her words cut through the silence like a knife, each syllable dripping with sarcasm. I grit my teeth, struggling to maintain my composure.
This lady asked me for help, and now? Ugh."Oh, I'm sorry, Miss...? Whatever. Did I disrupt your plans for the evening? And by the way, it's Agasthya, MAHIR AGASTHYA."
My tone is sharp, laced with thinly veiled contempt. I can see the flash of anger in her eyes, the fire burning bright despite the darkness that surrounds us.
"You know, for someone who claims not to care, you sure seem to be going out of your way to help me. And it's Mehra, SASHYA MEHRA." She chuckles softly. Her words hit their mark, striking a nerve deep within me. I tighten my grip on the steering wheel, my knuckles turning white with frustration.
"Believe me, the last thing I want is to be stuck with you."
The bitterness in my voice is unmistakable, but even as the words leave my lips, I can't shake off the nagging feeling of guilt that gnaws at my conscience."Well, lucky for you, I won't be sticking around for long. As soon as I find a place to stay, I'll be out of your hair."
Her words are like a slap in the face, a painful reminder of the mess I have created. I swallow hard, struggling to contain the storm of emotions raging inside me."Fine by me. The sooner you're gone, the better."
But even as I speak the words, I can't ignore the sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. Something about her presence unsettles me, stirring up emotions I have long buried beneath a facade of indifference.
As we continue our journey through the rain-soaked streets, the silence between us is deafening, each passing moment filled with unspoken tension and unresolved animosity. Little do I know, this chance encounter is just the beginning of a tumultuous journey that will challenge everything I thought I knew about love, hate, and the fragile boundaries of the human heart.
Time skip
After arriving at my flat, I park the car in the dimly lit garage beneath it. The tension between Sashya and me is thick, almost suffocating. I turn off the engine and sit for a moment, staring straight ahead, trying to gather my thoughts. Her presence is a constant reminder of the chaos I have invited into my life.
"Are we just going to sit here all night, Mr. Silent?" her voice drips with sarcasm.
I clench my jaw, fighting the urge to snap back at her. "Get out," I say coldly, stepping out of the car and slamming the door.
She follows, her footsteps echoing in the empty garage. Sashya looks up, her eyes meeting mine briefly before she turns away. "Thanks for the ride," she mutters, her voice barely above a whisper.
The tension coils in my chest. I don't know why I offered to drive her. Maybe it was guilt, maybe something else I can't quite name. Maybe because she looks..huh!!
" Wait." my voice stops her in her tracks, and she turns to face me with a raised eyebrow.
"What now?" Her words are laced with irritation, but beneath the surface, I can sense a hint of curiosity. "I just... I wanted to make sure you're okay. Comfortable, toh ho na?" My words come out softer than I intended, and for a moment, the mask of indifference slips from my face, revealing the vulnerability I have been trying so hard to hide.
Sashya's expression softens, a flicker of something unreadable passing through her eyes.
"I'll be fine. I'm a grown-up girl, remember?"
"Right. Well, if you need anything..."
I trail off, unable to articulate the tumult of emotions swirling inside me.
"I'll let you know."
With that, she disappears into the darkness of the garage, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
