Under the neon sky, we're running wild,
Chasing the stars in this city night,
Footsteps echo down empty streets,
Feels like we're the only heartbeat.
The cab slows and halts on a deserted street lined with towering trees. I pay the driver, who nods and drives off quickly. My eyes drift down to the envelope in my hand, and I double-check the address. It matches, but there's no sign of any building here, not a single person in sight—just a narrow road shadowed by dense trees on either side. The quiet gnaws at my nerves.
Is this some kind of joke?
A shiver runs down my spine as I think back to that strange lady who handed me this ticket. The way she looked at me, like she'd known me for years. Her words had been cryptic, even unsettling. I should've known something was off.
I pull out my phone and try calling the cab driver, but it doesn't connect. I try dialing another number. Nothing. The "No Signal" symbol glares back at me. My stomach tightens, unease spreading through me. When I open the cab app, it refuses to load—no internet connection, either.
"What the heck... why does this always happen to me?" I mutter, trying to keep my cool, but panic starts building up.
"I don't even know how to get back! What if... what if I never make it home? Mumma, I'm—" My words freeze mid-sentence, my gaze snapping to a nearby tree.
There, on the big trunk, is a red arrow pointing into the forest. It's crudely painted, but clear enough to follow. My eyes narrow. Should I go?
I take a deep breath and step off the road onto a narrow trail that winds through the trees. The sunlight is fading quickly, making everything feel darker and closer. The air smells damp, like moss and wet soil.
Just ahead, I spot another arrow, this time drawn on a rock, pointing me further into the woods. I feel a bit nervous but decide to keep going. One arrow leads to another, pulling me deeper and deeper until the trees open up, and I find myself in a clearing.
There, standing in front of me, is an old, creepy-looking building.
The building looms over me, old and crumbling, with long, worn steps leading up to a large, faded doorway. A chill runs through me as I look at it. The place feels like it's from another time, abandoned and left to decay.
"Nope, no way," I mumble, shaking my head, my instincts urging me to turn back. This doesn't feel right.
But then my gaze catches on something else—a sign hanging from a nearby tree. It's written in jagged red marker: 'Humans Not Allowed. Danger Inside.'
My breath catches. Humans not allowed? What kind of warning is that?
I look back at the ticket in my hand, and my eyes finally catch the small print at the bottom: 'HNADI Club.'
HNADI...
The realization dawns on me slowly, unsettlingly. The club name on the ticket isn't just random letters. It's the short form of the 'Human not allow, Danger Inside'
Against every logical thought screaming in my head, my feet inch toward the steps.
I take a cautious step onto the worn stone stairs, feeling each creak and groan beneath my feet.
With every step, my heartbeat quickens, and the building's silent weight presses down on me. Finally, I reach the large wooden door and push it open, as the door swings inward, I'm taken aback.
Inside, the place is grand. Luxurious chandeliers hang from the high ceilings, casting a warm, golden glow over polished floors and finely crafted furniture.
Just as I start taking in my surroundings, a man steps in front of me. He's dressed in a black suit, and a sleek, black mask covers his face, leaving only his piercing eyes visible.
"Ticket?" he says, his deep voice sending a shiver through me. Without a word, I hand him the pass. He examines it briefly, then nods to someone behind him —a woman standing silently nearby. She's dressed elegantly, with her face also hidden by a black mask.
She rummages through a large bag slung over her shoulder and eventually pulls out a black plastic bag, which she hands to me without a word. Then, with a slight tilt of her head, she motions for me to follow her. We walk through a long hallway until we reach a room filled with clothes and masks, scattered on every surface. Some outfits are sleek, some extravagant.
"Do I have to change into these?" I ask and She nods at me.
I open the black bag and find a black dress inside—a short, revealing piece that seems much more suited for a night of secrets than anything else. I hesitate, but then change into the dress, adjusting it until it fits just right. There's a mask included as well, with dark green feathers framing the edges. I slip it on, feeling like I'm stepping into a role I don't fully understand.
When I exit the room, the masked woman is waiting by the door. She looks me over briefly, then finally speaks.
"Room number 204," she says, her voice soft but firm, as she gestures down the hallway.
I nod, following the direction she pointed out. I reach the door marked 204. I grip the handle, take a deep breath, and step inside, still with no real idea of what to expect. The room is dimly lit, and empty save for a few plush chairs. But what catches my attention immediately is the, transparent wall.
My breath hitches as I take in the scene beyond the glass. On the each side of wall, in a similar room, are pair of couples—or, rather, pairs of people. Four pairs in total. Each of them is engaged in an intimate display, the kind that leaves no room for guessing about the nature of this place.
I stand frozen, unable to look away as each couple moves together, their bodies connected in a way only they seem to understand. each couple holds each other gently, moving slowly, like they're savoring every second and each touch. Their faces are close, foreheads almost touching, and their hands explore each other's skin, tracing soft lines as they lose themselves completely in each other. Quiet whispers fill the air, just barely audible, creating an intimate and peaceful scene.
The realization sinks in slowly, sending a wave of shock through me.
They can't see me, that much is clear. It's as if the glass only works one way, making me an invisible observer to their private world. I try to look away, but my eyes keep drifting back.
Then, a small digital screen lights up beside me, displaying a message in bold text: Wait until your partner arrives.
My pulse races as I stare at the words, my mind struggling to grasp their meaning.
"Is this... is this a sex club?"
