Episode 6 // Robot reflection

As sonic was healing his wounds at his house, midnight was the only one to look after him since tails was out to do the groceries, and outdoor missions that sonic needed to do..

It wasn't much but it sure was raining, midnight and sonic were on the bed having an afternoon sleep.

Sonic was having a hard time, as if he was having a nightmare, midnight groans as he notices sonic trying to push him and scream, he wasn't having a good sleep as he kept squirming and changing sleeping positions. Midnight frowns and tries to wake up sonic by calling his name a bunch of times before he got out of bed to grab a cup of water to throw at his face since he knew sonic hated water due to him not having good hygiene honestly.

He soon goes upstairs to throw the cup of water onto his face, it was cold enough to wake him up with a flinch.

"AHH!! PLEASE DONT HURT ME—" he paused and realized it was just midnight in front of him, he sighs in relief. Midnight smiles in relief as he finally wakes up, he rushes a bit closer to him and check on him. "Are you alright, sonic..?" He asks in a slight upset tone.

Sonic pants, trying to catch his breath after what he had just witnessed himself. "Metal Sonic was trying to take over the world, and I failed.. he was hurting everyone.. including you.." he frowned, sounding slightly disappointed and afraid.

Midnight seems confused before raising an eyebrow at his words. "Metal..Sonic..?" He repeated curiously, he doesn't seem to know him, so mainly his mind would ask.. 'who is this Metal Sonic that sonic was talking about..? And why was he so afraid from such a person..?' He thought to himself, frowning sadly.

Sonic soon answers and sighs. "N..Nothing.. I just uhm.. had this weird memory in my head.. it just had a worse end.."

Midnight was still curious, he never knew anything about this whole 'Metal Sonic' guy, it kept him curious but he decided to just let it go and take it off his mind, he was eventually afraid that he must be one of Sonics enemies that tried hurting him once, whoever it was, it sure doesn't sound good at all.

Midnight slowly gets off of his knees and slowly walks downstairs to make them breakfast. Sonic was scratching the back of his head awkwardly, still wasn't sure if that was Deja vu or something else that came over him, he soon gets up as well and walks downstairs, surely he wasn't so happy like usual. He sits down on the dining table while midnight was making breakfast, which were scrambled eggs and bacon for the both of them. Sonic was fidgeting his fingers, feeling anxious, it felt like a sign to him, like it was a warning coming through him, a shiver came surging through his spine, making him get goosebumps. He felt his quills rising behind him, it wasn't normal, mostly it only happens if his nervous or afraid. He sure didn't wanted to fail on saving the world from evil, and he sure didn't wanted his friends to get hurt no matter what.. especially midnight...

Midnight slowly walks to the dining table, placing the plate with breakfast down on the table, sonic flinched at the sudden sight, midnight sure wasn't having it from seeing sonic like this, it's starting to get strange for him, he sighs but slowly walks beside sonic to sit beside him and eat with him.

Sonic was slowly on eating his food this time, unlike usual, he eats fast. Midnight was caught off guard from all the fuss going on, He narrows his eyes and starts finishing his food nice and slow along with sonic, after a few moments, he takes the empty plates to the sink and starts washing the dishes. Sonic was in the living room, wrapped around with a warm blanket.

After midnight finishes washing the dishes, he walks over to sonic and gives him a kiss. "I'll be back.. I need something to do, I asked tails if we could swap places for a while, so he'll be here around 15 minutes." He soon walks out, sonic watches him, frowning. He wanted to follow him since he had a bad feeling due to that nightmare he had just experienced. As he sees him gone out of sight, he sighs and slowly just waited for tails, still feeling much more worried and anxious for midnight until he comes back.
