in the span of mere 24 hours, it is evident that cleo martin is smitten with the guy she's talking to. she stared him down as he talked, taking a puff off her cigarette as she bobs her head, nodding to whatever the fuck farleigh start was talking about. she didn't really care, all she knows is that she's so attracted to this man, and she sure as hell know he is too. "well, how about you? where do you plan on going this summer?" he asked.

as the question hit her, she realized she hasn't really thought about where to go this summer. she could go to capri, and bask in the warm sun. or she could stay here at her new york apartment. or spend the days with her friends at yachts. the possibilities are endless.

"oh, i don't know." she smiled, unsure how to answer the question. "i could be anywhere. it depends on my plans." she says as she looks out the window. "you can join me in saltburn." farleigh said with a slight smirk. "saltburn?" cleo asked, amused by the name 'saltburn'. "yes, at saltburn. the one that i've been talking about a few minutes ago."

"what does one do in saltburn?" cleo mused, resting her chin on top of farleigh's knee. "well, for starters; dinner parties. parties in general."

"hmm." cleo hummed to herself, not finding the idea of spending her summers in this place called 'saltburn' too bad. as she propped herself to get up to go to the bathroom, he placed his hand down her lower back, surprising her. "yes?" cleo asked as she peered over her shoulder to see farleigh grinning. "come to saltburn with me, yeah? i'll show you around." cleo smiled and said, "alright."

farleigh got up, and got dressed. she's been with him for 24 hours yet everytime she looks at him, it's as if she's seeing him for the first time again. "call me, okay?" he said as he was leaving. as he went out the door, cleo was smiling nonstop.

her smile dropped when she realized he never gave her his phone number.

and that was the last time she ever saw him again.
