Chapter Two

3rd POV

Lucy and Nashi headed to the guild and quickly sat down at a table that was toward the front. Mira walked over seeing the two sit down "Hey girls what can I get you to eat." Mira said as she smiled down at the small family.
"I'll have a strawberry shake a some grilled chicken. And Nashi what do you want sweetie." Lucy said looking down at her daughter. "Uhm can I have some hot wings and a strawberry shake like mama?" She asked Mira. Mira shook her head and laughed "She's so much like you two. I'll be right back with your food." Nashi looked up at her mother with a confused look on her face "What did Aunty Mira mean by that mama?" She asked her mother sweetly. Her mother looked down at her with a smile and said "Oh don't worry sweetie she just means that you act just like me and papa." Nashi scrunched her nose up at that, while Mira brought the food over.
The two quickly finished their meal and headed to the market. After doing some quick shopping the two headed back home for the night. Lucy's tired feet carried a majority of the bags while her little girl carried one that was less heavy than the others. They continued down the path and quickly reached their home.
As they approached the home the blonde stopped in her tracks sensing something off. She grabbed her daughter's hand and instinctively reached for the keys on her waist. Nashi noticed the tension in her mother and looked up at her. "Mama... is something wrong?" Nashi questioned slowly and quietly. Lucy looked around and continued walking despite the sinking feeling deep in her heart.
"Mama?" Nashi questioned again. "Nashi stay quiet for a second ok. I need you to go to your tree house and hide." Lucy said quickly as not to scare her little girl. She quietly called Loki and kind of tried to motion to the house. "Mama I'm scared why'd you summon Uncle Loki?" Nashi quivered as she noticed the man take a battle stance. "Nashi baby I really need you to go hide right now." Lucy whispered as she tried to push the girl to her hide out. Lucy took out her lacrima phone and handed it to Nashi. "Sweetie I need you to call daddy. Tell him something is wrong and he needs to come home right now. Now go hide in your tree house." Lucy rushed out as she turned to see Loki using his regulas lights.
Nashi quickly ran off toward the tree house her father had built her about a year ago. She quickly arrived since it was close to her home and rushed up the ladder. Once settled in on the floor she moved a heavy box onto the hatch door to protect her from people trying to get to her.
Meanwhile with Lucy she quickly transformed into her Leo star dress and went to action. She quickly walked toward her home and noticed the door busted open. She looked over to Loki and he seemed surprised. He motioned to her to be careful and stepped in the house. In the darkness Lucy noticed a figure sitting at the family table in the kitchen. Loki being the ever careful one he is stood in front of the woman holding out his hand to protect his master and her unborn child.
"Lucy Heartfillia.... Welcome home." The dark figure said as he stood. Lucy noticed that the man was very tall compared to her and she could feel the power radiating from him. She knew she would have to be very careful. "Actually it's Dragneel now." Lucy stated as she stood in a defensive state.
"Oh not that it matters. You will still die before that beloved husband of yours makes it here. Of course your daughter will also have to die with you." The man stated as he came out of the light.
Lucy gasped and watched in horror as the man powered up his own magic. This man was far more dangerous than she realized.
Back with Nashi:
The young girl sat in the corner and quickly dialed the lacrima number of her father. It rang a few times before she saw Natsu's face pop up on the screen. "Hey bab- Nashi what's wrong?" He questioned seeing the tears streaming down the girls face. "Papa I'm scared... mama told me to call you we are in trouble." Nashi said trying her best to get the message across that her mother had told her. "Papa someone broke into the house. They are scaring me. Mama called uncle Loki out and I heard her scream."
Natsu quickly stood up causing the people in the camp around him to give him a questioning look. "Nashi baby where are you?" Natsu asked concerned laced in his voice. The others quickly caught onto the situation at hand and started packing all of their things up. "I'm in my tree house papa. I'm so scared there is a lot of crashing. I hear uncle Taurus mooing now I think Uncle Loki was beat." Nashi cried. "Baby I need you to stay where you are and try to stay calm ok. Daddy is on his way home right now." Natsu quickly exclaimed as he gathered the rest of his things. The group hurriedly ran towards the town. "Daddy I don't hear anything now. It's really quiet." Nashi said grabbing onto her knees. "AHHHH" Nashi heard her mother scream. "Papa did you hear that?" Nashi asked as her eyes widened. "Nashi remember how I taught you to fight. Do you remember the magic I taught you. You need to use that if they get you. I know you're scared baby but you have to protect yourself."
Nashi was shaking and was completely terrified. "Papa what about mama she screamed really loud. Is my baby brother or sister going to be ok? Papa I'm scared." Nashi chocked out. At this point Natsu was sprinting as fast as his feet would carry him. "I know Nash I'm on my way I promise. Happy can you carry me little buddy?" Natsu quickly rushed out.
"Aye Sir!" Happy exclaimed grabbing Natsu's collar. Natsu used his fire, lighting his fist and feet to propel him and Happy faster in order to get to his wife and daughter. Natsu was snapped out of his daze by a slight scream by his daughter. "AH PAPA!!" She screamed as he saw his little girl get picked up by a mysterious figure covered in blood. It didn't take a genius to realize that it was Lucy's.
The man bent down still holding his daughter and picked up the lacrima phone. "Oh this is so sweet, the Salamander, checking on his daughter. Well it looks like you are just in time to see the show." the man said tying Nashi up. "Nashi remember what I taught you!" Natsu called out to his daughter. She looked up and finally her bindings caught fire as she ripped the fabric covering her mouth. "Fire dragon Roar!" Nashi exclaimed as a small column of fire shot out of her mouth. The man let her go as he swatted his face to put the small flames on his face out. As Nashi fell to the ground she tried to quickly run off. "Run Nashi!" Her father exclaimed as his little girl took off. She quickly picked the lacrima up off the ground and fell through the trapdoor.
"Papa where should I go?" Nashi cried while she continued running. "Run to the guild I gotta call master ok can you keep running?" Nastu cried as he saw the panic in his daughter's eyes. "Papa please don't go I'm scared." Nashi cried more as she continued to run.
Natsu looked at her just in time to see the man grab her once more. This time putting magic seal stone on her. The man then threw the girl down on the ground knocking the wind out of Nashi causing the girl to cry out. "NASHI!" Natsu called out worry etched into his face. "Papa.... It hurts..." she cried out. "Don't worry I'm almost there." Natsu said as she cried. "Oh don't fill the poor girl with hope Dragneel by the time you get here I will be long gone with your daughter," he said as he slightly kicked the girl laying on the ground, "and your lovely wife." He said as he threw a bloody Lucy on the ground in front of the camera. "LUCY!!" Natsu shouted as he watched his wife laying on the ground. He could see a big gash in her side. "LUCY WAKE UP! Please Lucy PLEASE!" The man shouted. "WHOEVER YOU ARE ILL KILL YOU!" Natsu shouted. "Empty words Mr. Dragneel. You'll never know where I am." The man said shutting the call off. "NO DAMNIT. Happy can we fly any faster he's getting away!" Natsu shouted at his blue partner. "AYE!" Happy shouted back.
By the time Natsu had landed at his home he was too late. "No... no no no no.." he kept saying over and over. He walked to his home that was wrecked and saw all of the damage. The blood is what startled him the most. Why was there so much of it. Why was it so red. Why why why was his family the target. He went around the whole house noticing blood in almost every room. Most of it Lucys but he could smell another's blood. It must have been the man's. He could tell Lucy had fought back and was doing well. However four months pregnant was not easy. The thought hit him like a train. How was the baby was Lucy going to make it. There was no way to tell. Natsu sat in his daughter's room clutching the scarf he had purchased for her and the gift he was going to give Lucy. That was how Erza and Gray found him twenty minutes later. Clutching onto his wife and daughters things.
