S1 E3: Secrets & Songbooks Part 3

Athena walks in followed by Austin who was followed by Ally. "Let's get to work. I think we should-" Austin says just as Ally closes the door. "Why'd you shut the door?" Austin asks Ally before he looks over at Athena. "Because we always shut the door when we write a song. It's more private. Right, Thena?" Ally responds.

"Mhm."

"Maybe we should change that. What do we have to hide?" Austin chuckles nervously before opening the door. "We're writing a song up here with the door open. Wide open." Austin announces while Athena and Ally look at each other before shrugging.

Athena stands up in order to let Austin sit beside Ally on the bench. "We should write something totally different for you to play South Beach Sound. What about a love song? What do you think, Athena?" Ally asks and she smirks knowing that Austin thinks that Ally has an underlying crush on him. "I think that's an amazing idea." she says. "What about a like song?" Austin says.

Ally looks up at Athena who shrugs again and then she looks back at Austin "Come on, I've already got a bunch of it figured out." Ally says and she starts to play. Love, love, love

"Like, like... Like." Austin plays looking at Ally very much unimpressed. Ally looks at him in confusion before continuing "It's a special kind of feeling."

"But not always so appealing."

"All you want is to get close..."

"But too close is kinda gross."

"Gotta go for what you want."

"But just keeping things on a friendly level is also a good option, if you what things to stay the same." Austin says quickly before hitting a key on the piano and standing up. Athena slow claps "Wow, chills. Literal chills. My ears have been blessed." she spoke.

Ally still confused stood up and turns to Austin who was at the fridge "Uh, you're acting weird. Are you okay?" she asks him. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just not feeling this love song." Austin replies. "Austin, I'm really feeling this one. I think we're close enough that I can tell you who the song is really about. Athena knows." Ally says and Austin covers his ears.

"If I don't hear it, it's not true. If I don't hear it, it's not, it's not true. If I don't hear it, it's not true." Austin continued running out of the room. Ally turns to Athena who was laughing. "Is he okay?" Ally asks her. "No, he thinks you have a crush on him." Athena sits down at the piano playing a few of the keys. "He does?" Ally says in shock.

Athena nods "Mhm. I tried to tell them that you were talking about Dallas, but him and Dez were being nosy." Ally crosses her arms. "They read my book?" she asks. "Ally, how else did he find out about your crush on another dude that's not him?" Athena stands up and walks out of the practice room.

Later in the food court Ally walks in between Trish and Athena "I've never seen Austin act so crazy. He ran out before we could finish our new song." Ally says. "I wonder if he's nervous about playing on South Beach Sound." Trish suggests. "Nervous? Pfft. Austin never gets nervous, especially about performing." Dez spoke up since he was at the table building a gingerbread house.

"Then why is he acting so weird around me?" Ally questioned and Dez tenses up. Athena specifically told Ally and now she's acting if she forgot what she knows. "It's because he's nervous. Austin always gets nervous, especially about performing." Dez says. "Dez, is there something you wanna tell us?" Athena urged. "I don't know anything! Why are you grilling me? Can't a guy put a new roof on his gingerbread house in peace?" Dez rambled.
