 – If you could choose who to spend your life with, who would you choose, y/n from Kinoko Kingdom?

Slimecicle looked up to you with curiosity. It's not the first question like this from out of nowhere which you might have heard from him actually. You turned to him stopping your walk on an old patch made of gravel where you came back from a cave with better equipment.

– Are we talking about just one or all of them?

– All three. – he specified.

Thinking about your answer, you lift up your chin and supported it with your hand making your pose look kind of like a philosophe.

– Definitely with myself. Why would I need someone else to fuck around? This or other way... – you shrugged.

The two of you continued to ramble.

– Y/n from Kinoko Kingdom, do you not believe in true love? – he huffed.

– You joking, right?

You saw him shaking his head. He had to fix up his glasses as they were about to fall off, even though they were quite sticky.

– My sweet summer child... – you sighed chuckling a bit sarcastically.

Slimecicle had to speed up to catch your tempo as you unknowingly hastened.

– There's lust, desire and passion, alright. Love alone is just...too rare nowadays. I don't see many naïve, faithful or overall supportive romantic partners anymore.

– Someone like that is still around, for sure.

– Yeah. Same like your Kinoko Kingdom... – you rolled your eyes (or eye). – But if I'm still allowed to answer your question, Slime, I'd pick pandas! They are so fluffy, huggable and cute!

You imagined one of them eating a bamboo. The scene was so wholesome that you giggled. That childish side of you showed up without any stops.

– I think you'll find your panda, y/n from Kinoko Kingdom! As I was told!

– By whom? The voice in your head? – you sneered obstreperously, hiding again that fun side of yours.

He laughed loudly nodding his head for you to see. You touched your forehead thinking how unbelievable this man is. Is he even human? Never mind, it's a humanoid slime. Who payed you to befriend that?

Suddenly an arrow flew from behind you, two of them to be frank. Your ears moved when you caught the sound of wind before the ambush succeeded. You blocked one of the arrows that flew your way. Unfortunately you weren't quick enough to warn Slimecicle.

– Run-!

He didn't have the time to defend himself. Didn't even try, even though he had a wooden sword on his hip. His hands rose up in a gesture of surrender. Who would have thought that a random skeleton hidden in some water would beat a talking slime.

You jumped from your previous location with all guns blazing to the river landing on your two feet perfectly. There was a shoal at the bottom so you didn't trip. With one or two strikes you killed the pest and his other fellow without getting any injures at all. In brief, you were that flexible for a mere human.

After the job you cleaned your sword from the ash watching your fingers and then you scrambled back to the top. You felt droplets of water falling on the dried ground beneath your feet. It didn't really take that long for you to shrivel up.

– Everything alright, buddy? – you asked concerned.

– This is the moment! – he ignored you, looking up the sky.

– You're ridiculous. Is this a joke to you?

– I'm coming back to my original state!

– Which is...? Did that skeleton really kill you with one arrow?

– Sorry, y/n from Kinoko Kingdom, but the fate decided that we finish our journey another time!

He must be raving mad.

– You scare me, bud.

Not long after he screamed all his guts out, you heard a loud "SPLASH" and Slimecicle transformed into a normal slime. You had to clean up a little from his greenish snot to open your eyes again. You became a witness to the lonely slime jumping away, not bothering to attack you at all.

– What did I just see...?

It took you a while to come back to your normal self. He never did that before. It was disgusting but that sound made it kind of cute at the same time? You didn't really know what to think about it, so you continued to walk down the path.

– That was insane. – you huffed, shaking your head.

Does that mean he really heard a voice in his head?

You didn't carry anything with you to sleep through the night. Even so, you wouldn't get the chance. There were monsters spawning near you. They were asking to be slayed by your sword, all of them - creepers, spiders, skeletons, zombies. You felt your muscles relaxing while you danced around dodging their attacks and tensing up when you stabbed their weak points. It all went well until you've met your eyes with an enderman. They made you slowly retreat. The sword broke but it gave you a chance to ran away into a random cave where you spend your night mining down. You found diamonds pretty quickly. Feeling more confident with a diamond set you found your way out.

Your inventory was full of monsters' remnants. Toying with your life was one way to feel jollies. There wasn't really anything else that could replace it. Adrenaline running through your veins, fighting when you struggle the most, the sweat and blood on your blade were just the mix.
