The Water Hashira

couple years later

Giyuu pov: Well Muichiro is now my son who is still living with me in my estate, I don't hate it, I enjoy his company here, and there, and Shinazugawa been taking me out on dates or sometimes visits whenever he can. We are officially now dating, and Muichiro took some time to accept him, and sees him like a father figure, and I found out he is taking a liking towards Shinazugawa's brother Genya. Genya looks like another copy of Shinazugawa, but more younger, with darker hair. He'll sometimes visits when he can, before he goes off on his mission to exterminate more of the demons. Tonight Shinazugawa brought me out on a date, and said he wanted to surprise me when we're there. I wonder what he has in mind.

Sanemi pov: Tonight is the night where I propose to Giyuu. I am bringing her to a diner on the far edge of town, a while back I asked her somewhat parent to ask her hand in marriage. He never been so happy to see one of his students bet married so he said yes, but I'd have to protect her at all costs, including putting my life in her hands. Then I came back here while Uzui got the rings I told him to get, and Rengoku is in charge of the party I planned in mind. So I'm here now picking Giyuu up, and bringing her to our date for my final proposal, and Muichiro gave me his blessings, and is supporting me as well, what a somewhat good kid.

As they went off to the restaurant they waited to be registered in, and the waiter took them to their table where they starred at each other with loving eyes. They ordered their food, and made more funny puns of what they had in mind as they ate the food, and now the final part. Shinazugawa got up since it was time to go, and payed for the food, he helped Giyuu get up, and walked in the center of the room where he stopped to make his statement. Giyuu was confused of what he was doing until he finally stood infront of her, as he got down on one knee. She looked at him in full surprise then held her hand making her look down at him more.

This made everyone in the room turn their attention on them with full silence. He cleared his throat, and was about to say his statement only to be interrupted by a demon slayer crashing into the diner, with a demon trying to devour him. Everyone in that diner yelled, screamed in panick, and headed out the exit besides the two other hashira in the room. Shinazugawa was very angry at this point, and charged right at the demon at full speed with his two fingers piercing its eyes as it cried out of pain. The slayer got back up seeing what had happened, and apologized for his interruption, then for his punishment he was thrown out as the demon regenerated its eyes. Giyuu giggled, as Shinazugawa wanted this to be perfect as possible, but it turned out to be the quite opposite of that.

More of the demons went charging at them both, only to not realized they couldn't land a single blow on them for their heads went flying in the air, and onto the floor. Their bodies disintegrated as more demons came for back up only to be beheaded by the hashira, soon then Tengen came to help out. He chuckled a little to see Sanemi so angry on a date like this, and tried to block more of the demons attacks so they won't interfere on the engagement.

Tengen- Hey uhh...Shinazugawa nows the time to make your move.

He wasted no time, and grabbed both of Giyuu's hands, and brought her closer to him without being interrupted.

Sanemi- Giyuu Tomioka, you are the most, kindest, and beautiful woman I've ever met. You made me feel like an actual human being for once, and I thank you for that, and I wanted to ask you just this one question.
Giyuu- Go ahead.
Sanemi- Will you marry me?
Tengen- S*** SHINAZUGAWA THE RINGS!! THE DEMON GOTS THEM!!
Sanemi- DAMN ALL OF YOU!!
Tengen- WELL CAN YOU BOTH HELP OVER HERE WHILE YOU CAN GET THE RINGS FROM THAT GUY OVER THERE!?!

Then without thinking they drew their swords out charging at the demons at a speed for them to not realize they were decapitated. More of the heads fell to the ground, more of the demons disintegrate by them at a time. Tengen used his breathing to hear, and sense if any more demons were located in the areas they were fighting in, but luckily no one was there to send more demons. Shinazugawa was frustrated even more for he took his anger on them, for he gave them a gruesome death for making his proposal fail. Giyuu found favor in his eyes, and decapitated more demons as she thought more about him, as blood was spattered all over the place killing the monsters.

Then after a while it was finally over for the two of them, and took a rest as they both say together on a bench near the diner. Then finally Sanemi held her hands making her blush, as her heart skipped a beat as heat was brought to her face. The he cleared his throat and speaking about his future with her.

Sanemi- Well since that's over, cam we start this over again?
Giyuu- Fu-fu~ yes you can dear.
Sanemi- Giyuu Tomioka, you are the kindest, most generous person I've known for two years, and you've actually made me feel like an actual human being. You make me happy whenever we talk, or when I bring you out on dates like these. I love you so much Giyuu, and will you marry me?
Giyuu- I love you too Shinazugawa, you make me feel loved for who I am as well, and I do enjoy my times with you. And I too would like to have a future with you.
Sanemi- So does that mean yes?
Giyuu- Yes, a thousand times yes.

They both smiled at each other as Sanemi slid the ring onto her finger, as a tear slipped out of both of each other's eyes. They were about to kiss, but Tengen got in the way as he sliced a couple of demons above them not knowing they were there. Soon blood fell onto them as they kissed, which puzzled them both, but continued on as Tengen watched with tears in his eyes admiring the now married couple.

Tengen- WOAHHHHHH, YEAH NOW LETS HEAD BACK FOR THE CELEBRATION!!
Sanemi- Thanks Tengen, but please don't ever demolish a demon onto us okay.
Tengen- Uhhh... right you are my friend.
