Beep...

Beep...

Beep...

You jolted awake. Your hair messy, beads of sweat dripping down your face and wide eyes. What the actual fuck was that!? You were breathing heavily, a loud ringing in your ears. Never mind, it was just your alarm. You pursed your lips, slowly turning to look at your alarm.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

"Shut the fuck up!"

You yelled at the alarm as if it could hear and understand you. Unfortunately, it couldn't. You got out of bed, pressing the button ontop of the alarm to shut it off... But the beeping didn't stop.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

You raised an eyebrow. The alarm shut off like it was supposed to. The beeping wasn't coming from that. You looked around your room. Everything seemed normal... You sighed, grabbing your phone and leaving your room. Everything still seemed normal. Except the 'fog' covering the steps. You glanced at it before turning to go to the bathroom. You froze. 'Fog? Why the hell was there fog inside the house?' You thought, then realization kicked in. You slowly looked up to the roof where the fire alarm was.

"Fuck..."

You mumbled as you immediately bolted for the steps. Then you remembered you had to get your sister. You stood at the top of the steps contemplating for a good 5 minutes on whether you should wake your sister or not. Rolling your eyes, you grouchily walked to your sisters room. You opened the door, after struggling to unlock it of course.

"Elise, wake up. There's a fire and I'm not sure the steps are gonna hold much longer..."

You crossed your arms, annoyed that you decided to wake her up. Guess there's no going back now.

Elise stirred a bit, sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

"There's a what?..."

She mumbled groggily, shooting awake once you repeated yourself. Giving a nice, high pitched 'What!?' She grabbed her phone and darted pass you. Practically jumping down the stairs, she ran out. Crossing your arms you started mumbling as usual.

"Morning people... I just don't get them."

But you gave a slight smirk as you heard her cough a bit. Serves the bitch right. You put on some slippers and walked down the steps, holding your breath so you wouldn't breathe in any smoke. Eventually after grabbing the dog, you made it out.

"Did you call the fire department?"

"Yeah? Duh..."

"Finally you found something useful to do."

"Shut up, bitch."

"Cunt."

"Whore."

"Fuck you..."

"Haha."

You thought about pushing her into the fire, but you heard the sirens coming. Too late... You wondered if they'd believe you if you said she tripped on the dog.. Whatever it didn't really matter. Firefighters rushed out of their big red trucks in their heavy suits.
