CHAPTER 4

Before:    

"Watch where you're going freak!" she said in an annoyed voice. I was surprised she thought that was me and not her!

Now:

"Oh I'm so sorry! Are you hurt in any way?" I asked with a kind manner to not make a bad impression.

 "I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm sorry aswell for calling you a freak" she said in a polite yet calm voice.

"My name is Victory Panther by the way, may I ask yours?" I asked.

"I'm Denisse Rodriguez, and this man right here is my older cousin, Meteo Gonzales, nice to meet you Victory." she introduced herself after I told her my public information.

 "It was nice meeting you too Denisse and Mateo" I replied with a smile.

"Same to you" Mateo said in a very low and calm voice.

When our little chat ended, we headed to our separate ways. I waited at a nearby bus stop to get back home. After I waited for 3 or 5 minutes a bus arrived.

*At home*

"Mom! I'm back from that crime again." I said in a lazy voice as I was very tired.

"I'm going to sleep now mom okay? Goodnight!" I responded to the silence as she was busy with her work.

I fell face-first at my bed and realized I needed to change clothes first.

After wearing my pajamas, I went straight to sleep.

I woke up and it was still daytime, I looked at the clock and realized it was already the next day!

"Oh shoot! I slept the rest of the day yesterday!" I said while itching my eyes.

"Mom! What's for-" I stopped my tracks to find my mom asleep on the couch.

"She over worked again?.." I said with a sad face.

As I was heading out the door to check the city, someone knocked.

It was Paige.

"Paige, what are you doing here?" I asked as I was surprised she was here at 7:56 am.

"I really need your help! I'm in trouble again!" Paige said while trying to catch her breath.

"Okay, okay, okay, slow down and tell me what happened okay?" I asked trying not to sound worried.

"My parents are kicking me put just because I broke their favorite plate... I was wondering if you could let me stay? Please Victory.." She said pleadingly.

This was the 3rd time she said my name, EVER! So I knew it was urgent.

"Sure thing Paige" I replied nicely.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!" She said excitedly.

After I let her in, I told her I needed to inspect the city incase of emergencies.

"Paige, I need to inspect the city okay? I'll be back in 20 minutes." I said with a goodbye after.

"Okay! I'll wait for you!" She replied.

After I finished my inspection, I was heading to the police station to tell them what I have observed throughout the city, until someone blocked my way.

You could already guess who. I'll give 1 hint, he sneaked into my bedroom using my window.

If you guess VTH, you're right.

(This idiot again?.. What now?!)

"Hello Victory." he said, breaking the silence that was stuck between us.

"What do you want?! You keep bothering me! Why do you keep following me for useless things!" I said angrily and annoyed.

"Woah... Slow down cupcake." He said teasingly.

(WHAT DID HE JUST CALL ME?!)

"Ugh! Shut up! What do you want anyways Victor?!" I replied to his annoying voice.

"Hahahaha" He laughed to my angry response.

(What is he laughing about? Nothing is literally funny in our conversation."

"What's so funny, huh?!" I was weirded out by why he was laughing.

"You." He vanished after that one word.

(What the hell was that about?)

I just headed back home and minded my own business since I was already tired from inspecting the whole city.

*At my house*

"Paige! I forgot you were here. I'm so sorry I came home late, I had to deal with someone earlier." I rushed to say before she ranted at me.

"it's okay! You are the hero after all. It's your duty to help and protect the city." She said.

I was surprised she was still calm after me being gone for almost 4 hours. But hey, I can't blame myself either! This city is huge!

"Wanna go to the mall today? My treat!" I said excitedly.

"Heck yes! Let's go! What are you waiting for?" she matched my current energy. She tied her hair before putting on her shoes.

"Let's go now?" I asked.

She nodded fast as her simple excited reply.

*At the mall*

"Girly pops look! SHEIN is open! Can we pleaseee go there?" she pleaded with her puppy eyes.

"Of course! After all, I did say it's my treat" I laughed to her excited face.

"Woah! There's a lot of things on sale! I forgot it's summer sale today! Omgosh!" she was shocked by how cheap the prices were.

"Aren't you gonna buy anything?" Paige asked.

"I don't really need or want anything right now, consider it my early birthday gift for you, okay?" I smiled.

"You're the best! Omg I can't ask for anyone better than you!" she replied to my smile.

After shopping at SHEIN, Paige stumbled on someone.

It was Denisse!

"Oh it's you again!" she said in a small shocked face.

"I know right! What a small world to be honest" I said.

Paige looked confused at that time, "Do you guys know each other?".

"Yeah, we stumbled upon each other at the park. I bumped into her accidentally." I responded to her question.

"By the way, I want you to meet my boyfriend" Denisse said.
