Amira's POV

"Amira, time to get up!" My mother called from downstairs.
Hi, i'm Amira Samwell! I am an European 16-year-old girl who moved to America just 2 weeks ago.
I have natural brown hair that catches the middle of my back and also Crystal blue eyes.

Today was the first day at my new school, Eastwood or whatever its name was, i'm not really ecstatic about making new friends during the middle of the last school term, but still, i'll be happy for a friend either or ither way.
"Amira; young lady get up this instant!" my mother shouted which made me jump, as I hurried to get ready.

---

I hurried into the car, with my mom, whose name is Amanda, already waiting in the driver seat.
It took us about 16-minutes to get to the school, where I had a tour guide by the name of Audrey? To give me a needed tour and my schedule, by the school Gate.

"Bye mom!" I waved as she drove away.
"Hello, i'm Audrey, I will be your-" "My tour guide? I already know that!" I say happily.
"Well then, here is your schedule-' She says handing me a paper. '- and let us start a brief tour of the school grounds. Sound good?"
"Yep!" I answer.

My first class was mathematics, then the second was Integrated science, then my favorite class: lunch, then English, but during My Spanish class....

"Holà mi estudiantes!"
My teacher says excitedly, after which the rest of the class and I say 'Holà' back.

"Today we will be learni-"
My teacher tries to continue speaking, but is interrupted by a speaker check. We all stayed quiet to listen.

"Check...1 2 1 2... Good? Ok. Good day to all, staff and students alike. May Amira Samwell come to the guidance counselors office please? Thank you."
A teacher says over the intercom. My spanish teacher then looks towards me.

"Are you Amira?" She asks as I nod my head silently, "Yes".

I made my way to the guidance counselors office, where I knocked on the door and entered.

"Oh you must be Amira! I'm Miss Cheleye, welcome to Eastwood!" She says happily.
"Thank you Miss, why was I called?" "Oh! We have a call on hold for you. It's from your mother." She answers, handing me a phone.

"Hello?" I ask into said phone. "Hello? Amira? Grandma Ivy's dead.." My mother says tearfully.

---

I was dreading the end of the school day. As I heard the bell ring, I, quite literally, raced out of the school.

Grandma Ivy's dead? No way! My grandma is alive. She gotta be. I thought as I entered my mom's car.
By the look on her face, she quite literally, was not lying.
She was also a natural brunette but instead of blue eyes, she had beautiful amber eyes.
My mother always had a cheerful look on her face, but currently, she definitely seemed to look like the world was coming to a end.
Her eyes were puffy and red while her face was stained with tears. It was a saddened sight.

"Where is she?" I ask. "The hospital." My mother sighed, starting to drive the car towards the hospital. "The doctor announced that she would die by 5pm today. So we can get in our final goodbyes."
"Didn't you say that she was already dead?" I ask, but no answer as we pulled into the parking lot of the hospital.

I was dragged by mom as we made our way into the room my grandmother was in.
I saw my aunt's and uncles, with my cousins aswell. I even saw some people I didn't know. We all came to say goodbye.

"Grandma!" I shouted as I ran to the bedside.
"Oh, Amanda?... Ama? Ariel? Oh... Amira?"
"Yes its me grandma! Please. Don't leave. Your my best friend grandma! Please.. don't leave..gran-" "Amira. My most kind hearted granddaughter... Oh... I will.. Miss you..." She says. "What time is it?!" I shouted. "4:59:50" Someone says quickly. 10 more seconds!..

"Amanda, Asher, Bryan, Ariel, Ama. I will miss you the most my children."

..6 more seconds...

"Justin, Grenda. I'll miss you my friends."

4 more...

"My grandchildren..: Tiana and Owen. Love life to the fullest, I shall miss you..."

3

"Amira. I will miss you"

2

" I only have one thing to say to you.."

1

"T-trr..trust.. them..."

"Grandma? GRANDMA!"
I cried.

---

The funeral was shortly after grandma's death. I felt the most pain, as it was me her final words were to. I cried and cried till I couldn't no more. I also stopped going to school. I just didn't know why to anymore.

After the funeral, was the Will and testament reading. I didn't want to go but my mother forced me out of the house.
A short drive later, we made it to the lawyer's office.

"Thank you all for coming, we shall start the reading now." The lawyer starts.

"The children, for the oldest, Asher, you shall get her mansion. Bryan, 2 of the 4 cars she owned. Ariel, the other 2. Amanda is given 8 million dollars. The grand children: Owen, her restaurant chain. Tiana, 100 thousand dollars. And finally, Amira. You will be given..." I waited, wondering what I will get. Though nothing changes the fact I miss my grandmother.

"Her mirror. A standing mirror."
The lawyer continues.

After he said that, it was as if all eyes were on me. I even heard my cousins giggling.
Why Grandma?
I sigh to myself.

---

So here we are. I have just brought the mirror to my room. I placed it in the far corner. It gave me a strange feeling. Though it is Time for bed as my mother said I can no longer skip out on school.

I prayed and headed to bed.

"Why do I have to wake up at this hour??" I ask to myself as I reached for my phone for the time.

3:03am.

I got up to go use the restroom but coming back I saw something weird. I accidentally looked in the mirror, where I saw that there was no reflection. It was empty. Like a white glowing wall but there was no white glowing wall.
It was giving a weird aura.

Our of curiosity I was going to place my hand on the glass but instead it went through the glass. Thats quite.. weird. I thought as I took back my hand.
