THE SUN SHONE THROUGH THE SHEER CURTAINS reflecting off of the young girl's curly hair. She stared out the window looking down at her two-silver haired Targaryen boys sparring.

"Elowen, Darling" Alicent said from next to her niece

"Yes Auntie?" Elowen looked up with her usual innocent gaze.

"If you could pray for anything in the realm to the seven, what would you ask for?" the older women questioned.

"I don't pray for myself Auntie. I find it selfish to pray for my own gain rather than someone that needs help more than I. Surely others pray for me, so I must pray for them." Elowen's answer was quite mature and thought out for someone of her age.

The queen nodded. "You are in my prayers sweet child rest assured. Though, in a perfect would there isn't anything you would ask for?" Alicent pressed the question.

"Why do you ask? What is on your mind if I may." Elowen found her aunts pestering odd and out of the blue.

"Can I trust you with a secret?" Alicent rested her hand on the smaller girl face.

"Yes, Aunt anything. Your secrets will only stay in my mind and memory safe away from anyone's ears." Elwen was intrigued what her aunt had to tell her. Over the years she stayed in the Kings landing she formed a close bond with her aunt that only grew by day. The Queen became somewhat of the kids' mentor, for in her eyes she could do no injustice.

"Very well dear. Truthfully, me and your grandfather have been forming a mere plan. And I wanted to hear you opinion on the matter." Alicent looked towards Elowen who looked eager for her to carry on. "I'm sure you know Aegon will be king one day. As much as the current king likes to believe the opposite. A woman in the king's place will never see the light of the world we live in. It is bound for disaster and doom."

"Of course," Elowen agreed. She was still unsure where the conversation was headed.

"You also know your cousin Aegon well enough to see that he is an impulsive boy, like many other Targaryen's. He is headed down the wrong path, but I feel if he had a wise young woman like you to guide him as his future queen." Alicent sighed "I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I plan to betroth you and Aegon. If that is what you want. To be Queen like me."

Elowen looked back down at Aegon. He had a snobby look on his face. She presumed he was in another argument with Aemond as he usually was. She didn't take much time to think before accepting the offer. What girl wouldn't want to be queen. She would be the best queen, second to her aunt. "I would take it as the greatest gift to be like you."

Alicent smiled at that. Elowen hadn't seen the horrors and truth of world yet. Alicent thought of her as a reminder that there was still innocence left in the world. "Then it is a plan. I will talk to your father about it soon. You must not speak of this to Aegon he will act out unless he somewhat thinks this arrangement is of his own will."

Elowen swore not to say a word. She didn't want to ruin the chance she had at becoming a queen after all. She knew Aegon needed things to be his own way. He was reckless and needed someone like herself to hold him down to the ground. A smart Hightower woman would always be able to control a mad Targaryen man. She learned that for her aunt and believed it whole heartily.
