AEGON DIDNT KNOW EXACTLY how he got wrapped into flying to Highgarden to pick up his little cousin. All he knew was that his mother could be a real cunt when she was cross. The woman gave him a days notice to get the lady and expected not a word back.So instead of sleeping till midafternoon like the man normally did, he was woken up at the crack of ass. Sunfrye was just as excited as he was about the matter. He wasn't sure why his mother picked him to do the task. Aemond would have been a much easier victim. The mama's boy would have been right on it without a second doubt.
Elowen packed lighting like her aunt had advised her, only packing a gown or two, and other lady things. She was waiting all morning like a dog for the arrival. She imagined how she would be picked up by a beautiful carriage pulled by white horses.
"Elowen the prince is here for you." Clarissa called out the words she had been waiting to hear. Elowen expected Aemond to be waiting at the doorstep for her. Aemond was the closet cousin to her, they shared many found members with one another. The red head quickly ran down the steps. If her aunt or father had seen her they surely would scold her on how improper it was as a lady.
"It is truly wonderful to see you again." Elowen said before looking up to see Aegons face. She was slightly embarrassed of her reaction. The lady did not want Aegon to think she was that excited to see him. It came as a suprise that Aegon was the one out of all people to chaperone her travel. It did make sense though, her aunt was most likely trying to the the pair closer.
"Well yes you do seem quite excited to see me." Aegon said slyly.
"Don't get ahead of yourself my Prince." Elowen plastered on a fake smile. She would display a face of great virtue and maturity for as long as she was in Kingslanding. That was how she had gotten her grandsire, and aunts favor.
"Would you like a drink before you leave Prince?" Clarissa asked sweetly.
"I'll have a mug of wine." The silver haired man replied. Elowen couldn't tell if he were joking or not, but her question was answered when Clarissa nodded and went to turn around.
Elowen grabbed the handmaidens hand gently. "I think what the Prince meant to say was that he is fine."
Aegon chuckled at the blue eyed girl. She hadn't changed a bit from what he remembered, always a prude. "I meant what I said."
Clarissa looked between Elowen and Aegon, distraught. "My lady."
"Right your lady. You must listen to me, go on." Elowen waved her hand off.
"But I am your prince. That is arguably a higher right, you listen to me." Aegon pressed the girl. He wanted to see how far he could take it.
Clarissa ran off into the kitchen, scared to disobey the Prince. "Clarissa!" Elowen called out, clearly agitated.
"We mustn't waste anytime." Elowen said walking to the door.
Aegon blocked the way. "Before I get my wine?"
Elowen tried to keep her calm. She did not want to argue with Aegon. She knew he only wanted to get a ride out of her. "Very well than."
"On the other thought, let's just go." Aegon moved aside and walked out the door.
Elowen rolled her eyes when his back was turned to her. She followed the man curiously. He walked behind her castle which was odd. There wasn't a carriage in sight. When her eyes landed on Aegon's dragon she knew why. Her mouth dropped in horror. She had only ever seen Sunfrye from afar. The girl was far to close for comfort. "Where is the carriage?"
