(THAT STUPID BLACK BANNER WON'T LOAD KGCTIDTISJDF)

YOU DIDN'T REMEMBER PASSING OUT but you must've since the next thing you saw is your white ceiling, and you felt the world spinning into focus.

"Oh good she's alive people" Aiden said, staring down at you "I was about to splash water on your face."

You groaned, sitting upright. What had happened? Last thing you remembered was...

oh, right. You realized Salty wasn't a real cat, and then you felt your nose bleeding and felt a wave of sickness. "I'm insane"

"Glad we both can agree on something" Tyler muttered, earning an elbow jab from his sister "Not what she needs right now" You heard her whisper.

"So who's Salty?" Ashlyn asked, "Your dog?"

"Cat." you corrected "He's my cat. At least I thought he was"

"So does this mean the rumors were tr---owh!" Tyler hissed as Ashlyn stepped on his foot "Look, someone has to ask."

"I'm not a schizophrenic." You stated, but even you were questioning yourself. No way you imagined picking up a whole cat from the school dumpster and bringing it home. You even spent money buying the supplies...

Supplies.

You pointed to the kitchen island, a bag of cat food slumped against the side "If I don't have a cat then how is my stuff almost..." Your sentence died as you noticed the bag of cat food looked unopened.

"I don't think you should get up" Taylor said, but you ignored her. The bowls even still had the tag on them. You ran up the stairs, not believing your eyes. This couldn't be, no way you imagined an entire cat. It just wasn't possible.

But was it it? You swung open your closet door, where you usually kept Salty supplies. They were all unopened.

Oh my gosh.
You're crazy,

"Hey, look," one of them said "we were actually gonna go to the arcade today, so if you wanted to join?"

"Arcade." You muttered, face blank. Arcade.
Arcade.
Arcade.
Arcade.

You all walked to Ashlyn's house in silence

trying to forget about the PAST EVENTS. So if you've been imagining a cat, you can kill people with just a glance, you have this weird intuition thing, and you have visions.

Clinically insane, was the simplist answer. The curse could just be paranoia, the visions are probably just delusions, but what was the reason behind the intuition?

you know the reason.

"I'm not sure what's happening, but I just wanna say don't stress it──that always ends up ruining you. Trust me, I know."

What's going on with your head?

"Uhm, thanks?" Thanks? You scolded yourself, but what else was there to say?

more blur, your all in front of an arcade. Logan showed up, when did that happen?

you're falling apart. stop.

"Can I talk to you for a second?"

Logan's eyes were rimmed red, it was obviously he was crying recently. You nodded, staying behind.

"I'm really really sorry." He started "I didn't see you, I should have waited before firing. I've always known that I was the weaker one and I knew I shouldn't even have picked up a gun to begin with-" Logan was sobbing now, making you feel horrible.

"Hey" you said, putting a hand on his shoulder, not quite knowing how to comfort another person. "We all make mistakes, and plus I got out alive. I believe that you've come a far way since I first saw you, and the only thing you can do from here is to get up and try again."

He took off his glasses and dragged his arm across his eyes, "Thanks."
"No problem, let's go have fun, yeah?"

fun.
remember fun?

The last time you went to an arcade you were definitely under 11, your Aunt had come over while your parents were away and told you to get in the car. You were young and under-stimulated, so you willingly hopped inside her glamorous car. It smelled like bubblegum and smoke, a drastic change from the sterile smell of your house.

"Where are we going?" You asked, getting in the front seat.
Aunt Sal faced you, the sun making her lavender coloured hair look even brighter.
"I, sweetheart, am about to give you the best day of your life. You might not get the chance again"

Shopping was first, she took you to what you think was Claire's to get your ears pierced, and then a clothing store. Not some exquisite place to buy colorless outfits, it was bursting with colors, making you squint a little. It took an hour to choose 5 items because it was difficult to choose (even though she told you could have whatever.)

With shiny earrings and a new [color] streak in your hair, you and Aunt Sal walked into the arcade, your colors blending in with the surroundings. Tetris and Wack-a-mole were what you were the best at, but Aunt Sal demolished you at DDR.

When the both of you were redeeming tickets was when it went wrong.
