An Unexpected Shadow-Travel (DC X TSATS)

1:Who needs an explanation when you can have angst?

If you are sensitive about any of these topics,I will put a summary of the chapter at the end.

    Sitting on his bed, Nico was tired.Of everything.People,life,his godsdammed Cocoa Puffs who were always with him.After his 'mini-quest',he knew he knew he should have been grateful.He got out of..that place alive and saved a life. But not without losing another one,he miserably thought as he drifted into a flashback again.

    ~Back to the flashback~

    "No!", Nico yelled as he rushed over to his boyfriend's bloody body in the deepest pits of hell."I can't lose you too!", he sobbed over the son of Apollo's brutally beaten body."Nico.This is the way it has to be." Will paused coughing up blood.

    How?How could've this happened to Will?To his sunshine?Nico racked his brain trying to find anything that could help him.He looked around at the remaining monsters that Bob and Small Bob were fighting off as Nyx slowly came closer. "Neeks. Listen to me.This is the way it has to be.Remember what the prophecy said.I love you,Nico Di Angelo.".Will slowly closed his eyes as he took his last breaths,finally feeling at peace.

    "WILL!"Nico screamed.Nico dropped to the ground as a horrible pain spread across his body,ensuring his thoughts that William Andrew Solace,the love of his life was dead. In anger,heartbreak and frustration,Nico used all of his remaining power to unleash a deathly shockwave,instantly killing most of the monsters,and sending Nyx right into the arms of her children who kept her down and yelled at Nico to run.

    Nico let out a few heartbreaking sobs before grabbing Will's now dead body,gesturing for Bob to follow him.Nico took one last look at Nyx's palace,held up his middle finger to the protogenoi and jumped off the cliff down to Gorgyra's canoe at the bank of the Acheron.

    ~Flashback end~

    Oh how he missed Will.Stupid self-sacrificing Solace,Nico angrily thought.Nico hated everything.He hated that he thought he could be happy.He hated his dad for sending him on the quest.He hated being embarrassed in front of Bob and Small Bob,after Bob saw him crumble in the boat.He hated the Fates for killing everyone he loved:his mom,Bianca,Jason and now Will.He hated that he let someone get close to him.He hated that he couldn't save Will.He hated Nyx.He hated his life.

    Nico slowly regained control of his emotions and looked down to the foot of his bed,empty.The Coco Puffs™️ had left last week with Bob, onto their own set of adventures into the West.Nico knew that was really where Bob belonged,him being the Titan of the West and the Cacodemons could go do whatever they wanted and finally be free,but it still hurt.Gods,it hurt so bad.All of it.

    He knew there was only one way he could relieve the pain.A few days ago,he had went to the infirmary and asked for some painkillers.A lot of them.He had two whole containers full of them in his bedside drawer.He knew they could kill him,but he didn't care.He just wanted to be done with it all.He just wanted to be with his family again. But then,he thought of Hazel.He knew he couldn't leave without leaving a note.

    Hazel,
I love you.So so much.But I can't do this anymore.I can't live like this.I can't be happy because everyone around me dies. Mama, Bianca, Jason and now Will.I can't lose you too. Iwant you to know none of this was your fault.And that you're the only thing that kept me going.Tell Percy he was the best cousin ever and I couldn't have asked for a better friend.Tell Leo thanks for the jokes and that I get what he's going through.Tell Annabeth to never stop being Annabeth. Tell Frank that I approve of your relationship.Tell yourself that you are the best sister I could've asked for and I'm sorry I ever compared you to Bianca.Tell everyone I'm sorry and I'll see them in Elysium.

    Taping the note to his bed,he quietly sat down on the wooden floor of his cabin with the pill container in hand.Slowly,he uncapped the first container and dumped the pills into his left hand.Taking a deep breath,he raised his hand until it was level with his mouth.He
was about to swallow the painkillers but then he heard a voice-

    "Nico!?!What are you doing?",Hazel screamed while opening the door to their cabin.Nico silently cussed as he remembered today was the day Camp Jupitier was coming for their monthly hang-out(read:almost kill each other).Hazel quickly walked over to him after swatting the pills away. "N-nico?".Hazel sounded heartbroken. She didn't know that he had gone...down there again.

    "Hazel,I'm so sorry I didn't tell you, but a few weeks after Apollo went back to being high in the sky,I started having nightmares about Bob the Titan,formerly known as Iapetus,and then we got a prophecy saying Will and I had to go down to...that place to rescue Bob from Gaia 2.0, A.KA. Nyx,and we had to go and face her, and she turned my negative emotions into Cacodemons,and we had to fight her,but at the last second,Will died and I-"

    Nico's voice died out as he started uncontrollably sobbing into Hazel's chest. Hazel just wrapped her arms around him as they sat there for a couple minutes,with no sounds coming out from the Hades cabin except Nico's muffled sobs.After he became fully conscious,he started Apollogizing about breaking down and how he was sorry.Hazel listened to him before saying that she was going to go grab them some hot cocoa.

Summary:Nico gets a flashback to where Will dies in Tartarus,tries to commit sucicide and then trauma dumps onto Hazel
