Dazai stared at her new phone, as Takemichi messaged her.

She chuckled, finding herself amused at the crybaby, seriously, she wanted to laugh in pity and amusement at the fact that Takemichi of all people was burdened with so many things.

Things were definitely going to be fun.

She pocketed her new phone as the door to her office opened and her apprentice came. Dazai Osami found herself chewing the insides of her cheek as Akutagawa stood in that rigid posture she forced him to get used to.

If it were her past self she wouldn't even hesitate to strike him because of the way he keeps tapping his feet on the floor as if impatient.

"Akutagawa." she called and found himself flinching, and if it were even possible, try to straighten his posture more.

"it hurts. . can't you tone it down?" she asked, wiping the tears that pricked her eyes at the pain, she didn't like pain, she didn't like how her body was bleeding and aching and the holes in her body.

her ears were ringing from the sound of the gun shots.

A shadow loomed over her, and a hand grabbed her shoulder, squeezing it. "But Dazai-kun, you agreed to be in the port mafia, I'm just trying to help you. Only the strong survive, and my training will make you strong.

She ruffled her hair with a strange look on her face, one that Akutagawa has seen before in the face of his little sister.

"Akutagawa" she called again, this time with a deep sigh as she leaned on her office chair. Her fingers twitched, "do you regret joining the mafia?"

"no." he quickly answered with no hesitancy.

She stared at his eyes, his face, his body, to check for any body language that suggested otherwise and then she asked "and do you think my training for you is too extreme? do you want me to tone it down?"
