'Louis's Blood'

Ivor opened his eyes at a familiar sound. The birds tweeting next to his room's window.

He got up to a sunny morning, the snow was still everywhere, yet the sun rays were making that morning brighter than usual.

He washed his face then walked towards the kitchen where Eliz was making lunch.

"Good morning, mom."

The man said.

"Ivor, good morning. How are you feeling?"

She asked because at some point she was worried since he did not wake up to eat the dinner he wished for, he hasn't gotten so much sleep in years now.

"Yes, I slept way too well, where is dad?"

Ivor asked.

"He is chopping woods outside for the fire"

She replied.

"I will step outsid for a second then"

Her son said.

"Alright!"

Eliz smiled, replying.

Marc was indeed chopping those woods, even though he was almost 56 years old he still had it in him.

His physics said it all.

"Good morning"

Ivor said approaching his father.

Marc stopped and looked at Ivor replying with a smile,

"Morning!"

"Let me help"

Ivor said.

"Oh, you want to show off"

Marc replied.

Ivor let a slight laugh slip out.

He hasn't felt alive in so long.

Ivor was lost between two hard choices, or so he thought even though he knew he already made up his mind, that was why he came all the way there.

"Am done, this is enough let's get back inside"

Marc said.

Ivor carried most of the woods inside, not leaving any for his father.

Genral Alexander did position the trainees in pairs and positioned each two in a certain street.

"You should watch out, these streets are known for some illegal practices, let's see who can find something first"

Alexander said.

"We should stick close to them"

Ezra said.

"Yeah, let's watch from afar, I have a knight watching each pair so do not worry"

Alexander replied.

"What about him?"

Asher asked, looking at the second prince.

The trainees were a total of 7 people, including Louis. And so he ended up alone.

"He has been looking so scary lately"

Ezra said.

"I will watch over him"

The red-haired knight said as he walked closer to where Louis was asigned.

"Why does he care about him?"

Alexander asked Ezra, who tried hard to hide his smile as he replied,

"Who knows"
