When The Sun Sets Tonight.... -Kim Seungmin

Prologue

"There's too many people surviving.... they need to pass away..."
The woman in a long white dress said calmly, her hair as white as snow and her skin pale.

"I'm trying my best,.. Gaia... I can't keep up. There's too many people with unimaginable sins written on their wills..."
The man in the black cloak replied, setting his scythe down on the white, marble table.

"I do not want reasons, Thanatos. Do something about this.."
She replied sternly, sitting down on the seat in front of the table.

"I-... I'll do something.."

That night,.. the god of death stared at the blue planet, wondering what to do about the conundrum in his hands.

With a flick of his wrist, Thanatos summoned two glowing orbs, one radiating a deep crimson hue and the other a brilliant azure. As he shaped the orbs with his ethereal hands, they began to form into two spheres that pulsed with an otherworldly energy.

The red sphere seemed to embody the fierce and burning aspect of death, consuming life forces with the flames of mortality. The blue sphere, on the other hand, exuded the cold and calming aspect of death, extinguishing life forces with the icy grip of the unknown.

Satisfied with his work, Thanatos chose two unsuspecting mortals, Kang Hyerin and Kim Seungmin, from the vast expanse of humanity. As they slept, unaware of the god's gaze, Thanatos gently placed the spheres within their minds.

The red sphere settled into Hyerin's subconscious, imbuing her with the fiery passion of mortality. The blue sphere entered Seungmin's mind, granting him the calming serenity of the unknown. As they slept, the spheres began to glow with an eerie light, beckoning them to embrace their respective aspects of death.

Thanatos watched with great interest, eager to see how Hyerin and Seungmin would react to his gifts. Would they embrace the power of death, or flee from it in terror? Only time would tell, as the god of death waited patiently for the mortals to awaken and discover their newfound connection to the mysteries of mortality.
