It was a peaceful morning, the sun was rising with a faint orange tint in the distance, birds were starting to chirp a triumph melody, the pitter-patter of raindrops created a perfect morning for someone... And the worst morning to someone else.

5:30 a.m.

"Hyerin.. Hey,.. Hyerin.. wake up."
The girl's dad, Mr.Kang calmly shook the girl's shoulder, not wanting to startling her from her sleep.

"Five more minutes... Pleeeeeease??"
She mumbled back sleepily, a pout forming on her face as she tossed to her side.

"Kid, you said that half an hour ago..."
Mr.Kang said, letting go of his daughter and standing up straight.

"Wake up or I'm calling your brother to wake you up."
Hearing that, the girl almost immediately opened her eyes and sat up, nodding to the threat.

"Alright.."
She said before getting off the bed and walking out of her and her brother's shared bedroom, leaving her dad to god her blanket.

"I've been telling this child to god her blanket since she was in this grade.. it's so simple yet Kang Hyerin cash not do it.."
He talked to himself as he folded the blanket, letting it drop on the bed neatly afterwards.

.......................

Beep beep beep beep

6:00 a.m.

"Come onnnn, it's morning alreadyyyyy??"
The boy groaned as he turned off his alarm, yet nonetheless sat up straight and slowly blinked his eyes.

"What day is it...?"
He asked himself, reaching for his phone on the nightstand and checking the time and date.

Monday..

He let out a quiet whine as he got off the bed and stretched his arms, dreading the day ahead of him.

"Cheer up Seungmin, you can see your friends.."
He thought to himself, walking out of his room to the restroom.
The boy stood there quietly, staring right ahead of him at himself through the mirror.

"Tch... Pathetic..."
He mumbled, running a hand through his hair.

After a good half an hour or getting ready, Seungmin fixed his hair one last time in front of his mirror before walking out and locking the door afterwards. The worst part about school wasn't the seven hours, it was the hour long bus trip there.

"Hey! Seungmin!"
A beaming ray of sunshine yelled as he ran up to the boy, waving his hand in the air.
Once he reached him, he gave the taller a side hug and smiled at him, one that could melt anyone's heart.

"Bookie.. good morning... Did you eat yet?"
Seungmin smiled, shoving his hands into his jacket's pockets and looking down to his side at his friend, Lee Felix Yongbok.

"Mm, I did.. you?"
He nodded, getting cold as well and shoving his left hand into the taller's right pocket and letting out a cold sigh.

"... Shit... I forgot... I'll get something from the canteen, though.."
He said with a dry chuckle, letting out a sigh as he looked at the road from where they were standing.

"You need to eat, dawg."
Another voice erupted from the left, walking towards them.
It was a boy shorter than both of them, running a hand through his hair as he stopped next to Seungmin and turned to face the road. He reached into his pocket before pulling out a granola bar and holding it up.

"No, it's fine-"
Before the youngest of the three could protest, the small pack was already shoved into his hand.

"It's okay, you eat. You eeeaat!"
He said, showing off his squirrel like features.
