The next day, Sunoo starts practice by saying that he has something to tell Jungwon but when the coach comes in, he quickly dismisses it for later.
It turned out, to Jungwon's bitter dismay and chagrin, that what Sunoo had to tell him was something Jungwon truly and never would care about. And after practice, Jungwon found himself waiting a while longer since his ride wasn't there yet. Meaning he was left with Sunoo who could talk his ear off any moment from now.
What he had told Jungwon-which Jungwon was anticipating due to how thrilled Sunoo came off-was that his favorite actor was starring in an action drama that Jungwon was 110% sure that even if it was Sunoo's favorite actor, Sunoo wasn't going to watch it.
He had his interest peaking the entire day for something he didn't care about and for something Sunoo himself wasn't even going to pay avid attention to.
Jungwon was great at judging, but he wonders how Sunoo's hyperactive energy and prattling behavior must've gone under the radar when he decided to become best friends with him.
"You wanted to tell me that? That was it?" He had to ask again because he was too bemused at Sunoo's audacity to make sense of it.
"Yup."
He can't stand this. "You're so...oh my gosh. I think I'm about to lose my mind."
"So-"
"Sunoo, I do not want to hear about it today. Not at all." Jungwon stabilizes himself on his tender feet after another vigorous and tiring practice, yet he still finds the energy to snap back.
"I didn't even finish," Sunoo grumbles with a pout.
"You don't need to," Jungwon says.
"Not fair."
Jungwon looks over at him, ready to respond with something as typical as life's not fair when his phone buzzes in his cubby. He walks over to check the notification, and he eventually does but shoves his phone back inside with a groan.
"Woah. What's wrong?" Sunoo asks him.
Jungwon forces the cubby in before responding, "It's nothing just...my damn driver can't pick me up because he got in trouble with his parents about his car." He pressed his hands to his face, it was visible that he was angered.
"Relax, Jungwon. I can drive you home, it's no big deal," Sunoo waves his hand, weighing Jungwon's reaction as unnecessary. After all, Sunoo is his best friend and he has a car that he can freely drive around himself.
"Are you even a good driver?"
"Ah come on, that question is pointless," Sunoo responds lightly.
Jungwon eyes him like he's not going to let it go before he gets an affirming answer. Knowing him, he probably wouldn't agree until Sunoo gives him something promising and liable to go by anyway.
"I get here every day, unharmed. And I'd be blowing up your phone if I ever got harmed on my way home. Think we're pretty good," Sunoo says, and in a way it makes Jungwon feel a bit better, but he keeps a keen eye on Sunoo to see if he makes a move in his body language that contradicts his words. Luckily, Sunoo's truthful, and Jungwon relents his trepidation.
"Okay. Let's go change then," Jungwon tells him. He's lucky to not get a comment from Sunoo in addition and even luckier that Sunoo doesn't embark on a long incessant rant about whatever passes his mind, either. Though, Sunoo was teeming with excitement all the way to the changing room. Jungwon doesn't question it.
"Do you normally park this far away?" Jungwon asks, and that should've been where he really decided to think about Sunoo's intentions that night.
Sunoo shakes his head, laughing elatedly. "Nope. We actually passed my car a while back," he answers.
