"Wake up""Wake up"
A faint voice called.
"Scar"
"Scar!"The brunette soon woke up "H-huh...?" It was grian. His college roomate, friend, and crush.
"Scar, finally!," "What...?" He asked with annoyance in his voice. "We're gonna be late. Get ready!" The dirty blond said. Scar soon jolted up and looked at the clock09:42
His eye's Widened as he realized what time it is. '09:42!?' He thought. His and grian's class starts in 10 minutes. He soon got out of bed and hurried over to the bathroom.
At class
Scar and grian had finally arrived, and sat down. "See? Told you we would make it on time." The brunette said with confidence. "Scar," the dirty blonde started "We were barely on time!" Grian exclaimed.
Scar chuckled nervously, running a hand through his messy hair as he leaned back in his chair. "Eh, but we were on time. That’s what matters."
Grian shot him a look, his blue eyes narrowing in a mix of frustration and amusement. "Barely," he muttered, before turning his attention to the professor who had just begun the lecture.
Scar's mind, however, wandered. He tried to focus on the professor's droning voice about something that should have been interesting—maybe history, or something about architecture—but he couldn't. All he could think about was the frantic dash to class, and how Grian’s hand had briefly brushed his own when they sprinted up the stairs.
A subtle warmth bloomed in his chest, making him fidget in his seat. He glanced at Grian, who was scribbling notes with intense concentration. The dirty blond's brow furrowed slightly as he worked, biting his lip in that way that drove Scar crazy without even knowing it.
Scar blinked and quickly looked away, feeling the heat rise to his cheeks He couldn’t afford to be distracted, not now, not by him. But it was getting harder and harder to keep his feelings under wraps. Grian had been his roommate for over a year now, and every day it felt like his crush was growing, spiraling into something he couldn’t control.
As the lecture continued, Scar felt Grian's elbow lightly bump into his. "You good? You’re spacing out," Grian whispered, his voice low enough not to disturb anyone but loud enough to send a shiver down Scar’s spine.
"Huh? Yeah, just… tired, I guess," Scar stammered, trying to pull himself back into reality.
"Well, pay attention. You don't want to flunk this class," Grian whispered back, shooting him a small smile that made Scar's heart race.
The rest of the lecture passed in a blur. When it was over, Scar and Grian gathered their things and left the classroom together, the hallway bustling with students.
As they stepped out of the classroom, the midday sun filtered through the tall windows, casting long streaks of light across the busy hallway. Scar walked beside Grian, trying to keep his cool, but his heart wouldn’t stop pounding. Every step felt heavier, every moment more intense.
"You coming to the library later?" Grian asked, glancing at Scar. "I’ve got some notes to catch up on, and I could use a study buddy."
Scar hesitated, his mind racing. He wanted to spend more time with Grian, but being alone together in the quiet library sounded dangerous. His feelings were already teetering on the edge of exposure, and with no distractions, he wasn’t sure he could keep his cool. But at the same time, he didn’t want to say no. He didn’t want to distance himself any more than he already had.
