We've been walking for a long time now. It’s still dark and all of us were getting tired. “ok guys lets rest” Lennox said, as we all fell to the ground. I looked up at the stars. How could this be happening, yesterday, I was partying, and now, I’m in the middle of no-were with army men. This is crazy. “hey” I looked up. It was Lennox. He sat down next to me. “are you ok”? he asked “yeah, I’m fine just, I don’t understand what happened tonight, what was that”? “I don’t know” I looked back up at the stars. “why did your dad send you here”? That question took me off guard. I wasn’t really sure why he sent me here. “I don’t know, maybe because he didn’t want me or, can’t handle me, or he doesn’t want a freak for a daughter” “you’re not a freak, Natalie” I looked at him with a frown on my face. “I am, no-one knows what’s happening to me” “what do you mean” I looked down, was I really going to tell a man I just met about my darkest secret? “I see symbols, everyday all day, there not normal though, there like alien or something, but aliens don’t exist so, I don’t know what they are, I don’t-I don’t know what’s happening to me” “have you seen a doctor”? I sighed “no, they would just say I’m crazy and put me in a nut house” I looked back down at the ground, “you don’t have to sit with me you know, I can handle myself” He grinned, “I want to sit with you” I smiled and looked up. “what's you’re first name”? I asked, I was really curious. “Will” I smiled and looked down again. I yawned. He put his arm around me and I leaned my head against his shoulder. I fell asleep almost instantly.
I opened my eyes, and the sun was burning my face. I looked beside me and Lennox was fast asleep. I smiled a little, he looked so peaceful. Then I sat up, I looked around and everyone else was still asleep. I decided to just sit there for a while. Then I heard something, I turned around and saw a tank coming our way. I started shaking Lennox, “Lennox, Lennox wake up, there’s a tank” He sat up and looked straight at it, He woke all the others up as-well. We all walked towards it, It stopped and someone jumped out. It was another soldier. “are you a survivor from the base attack”? Lennox asked. He nodded and jumped down on-to the sand. “Yes sir, I managed to escape with this” He said motioning to the tank. We all sat and talked for a few more minutes, then I looked over to Epps and he was looking through something. “Epps what are you looking at”? I said, and everyone turned to him. “I’ve never seen a weapon system like this, the thermal shows this weird oral round the excel skeleton like it’s cloaked by some sort of invisible force field” Lennox took it and looked through it. The one from the tank spoke up, “that’s impossible, there’s no such thing as invisible force-fields except like, comic book stuff right”? Then Fig started talking, “Man I don’t know, My mamma she had the gift you know, she saw things, I got the gene to you know, that thing that attacked us, I got a feeling it aint over” “ how bout you use those magic voodoo powers to get us the hell out of her huh” The guy on the tank said again. Then Epps started speaking again. “When I took that picture. I think it saw me, it looked right at me” Everyone was a little spooked and we where all quiet, until Lennox decided to speak, “alright we gotta get this thing back to the pentagon right away, they gotta know what where dealing with here” “My radios fried, I got no communication with ariel” Epps said holding up his cell phone. I looked over to the kid that was standing with us, “hey how far do you live from here”? We were all looking at him, “not far, just up that mountain” “They have a phone”? Lennox said, “yes” was the boys reply. “Alright lets hit it” Lennox said as he started walking away. We all followed.
After about half hour of walking the village finally came into view. I sighed a relief, that means I can finally sit down. We walked closer, until we were finally entering the village. “Lets hope this telephone line works” We were walking past a big tower thing and then something came from underneath the sand and pushed it over. “Whoa” “look out” I was standing with the boys, when Lennox was loading his gun looking around, I looked over at him the same time Epps did, and there we saw a robot tail pointed at his back ready to stab him. “WOAH” Epps yelled, then started shooting. Lennox started screaming and jumping around like there was a mouse on the floor. All of us started screaming and running. Lennox ran over to me and grabbed my hand, I quickly grabbed the little boys hand, and we started running towards the village. When we got in the village it started shooting at us, Lennox was yelling orders to all the soldiers, he turned around to the boy “where’s your papa”? he asked. The little boy started screaming “Papa, Papa” He pointed at a building that had a man standing at the door, we ran over to it. “sir I need a telephone” Lennox said, “telephone”? the man asked to be sure Lennox nodded “yes” the man quickly ran over and handed Lennox a mobile, “Cell phone” he said, “alright, alright, thank you” Lennox said and started dialling the number, He held it up to his ear, and started talking, “this is an emergency pentagon call, do you understand this is an emergency pentagon call” Then the Window smashed, “AH”, I ducked, But I felt something on my cheek, I put my finger to it and saw blood, I felt it again, and felt a piece of glass, it wasn’t big, but it was enough to cut my skin open, I gasped, as I touched it, it hurt a little, I put my finger to it and gripped a little bit of it. I then started pulling. Once I pulled it out I looked at it, it was only a little piece. I threw it to the ground and looked at Lennox, He was running frantically around the room, “NO I DON’T HAVE A CREDIT CARD” He yelled into the phone, He grabbed my hand as we ran out of the, hut, we were running dodging all the people and rubble that was being thrown everywhere, “I’m in the middle of a war, this is frigen ridiculous” We ran behind a wall. I looked up at Epps, “Hey where’s your wallet” “Pocket” He yelled back at me. I ran over to him, “Witch pocket”? I yelled, “My back pocket” He yelled back while still shooting at the robot. Lennox ran over, “You have 10 back pockets” “Left cheek, Left cheek, Left cheek” He yelled at us and we found it, we ran behind another wall again, and Lennox started telling the man all the information. “No I don’t want a premium package” He yelled and looked at me and rolled his eyes. He threw the phone to epps, “Epps, Pentagon” He looked at me “Stay here don’t move” I nodded, and he ran off. Looked over the wall and watched as all the men tried to kill it with there guns, but it wasn’t working. Then the planes came and shot it, we all looked up to see it getting back up again, “Oh my god” I whispered. Then a bigger plane came and started shooting at it, once it had started shooting at it, the dust cleared and we saw the robot dig underground, but half of its tail fell off. I stood up and looked around at all of the damage. “Where's fig”? We all ran around looking for him, Then Lennox saw him, he was laying down he had been injured. “Fig” “someone get a medic” Lennox yelled. “you’re going to be ok” Lennox said. After they fixed Fig up and put him on a stretcher, we waited for the helicopter to come and get us.
