Author's povBy evening, around 7 o'clock, saira's makeup artist, arrived. They started working on Saira's makeup while she busily scrolled through her phone.
After they finished her makeup and hair, they were about to leave when suddenly, the Azan began, signaling prayer time. Saira looked up, slapped her forehead, and muttered, "Shit!"
Her sister, noticing her distress, asked, "What happened?"
"I have to offer Salah, but I forgot to make wudu!" Saira exclaimed.
Amaira replied, "What now?"
Saira sighed, "I'll have to wash off my makeup."
The makeup artist intervened, "No, ma'am, it will take another two hours to redo it."
Amaira suggested, "Can't you offer Salah later?"
Saira shook her head firmly, "No compromise with Salah."
She was about to leave when at that moment, Samina entered and asked, "Are you ready, dear?"
Amaira quickly explained the situation to Sameena, who instructed the makeup artist to leave. Turning to Saira, Sameena said, "Beta, there's only an hour left. How will you get ready in just one hour?"
Saira determinedly replied, "I'll manage."
She moved towards the mirror, murmuring to herself, "I didn't want this heavy makeup anyway. I'll do it myself."
Samina and amaira left the room as they also had to get ready and saira instructed them not to send anyone in her room. With resolve, she washed off her makeup, performed wudu, and offered Salah.
After performing Salah, Saira removed her dupatta and moved towards her dressing table. She picked up her makeup brushes and began her routine with a sense of determination.
First, she applied a hydrating primer to create a smooth base, gently massaging it into her skin. Then, she carefully dabbed on a lightweight foundation, blending it flawlessly to achieve a natural yet flawless complexion.
Next, she reached for a creamy concealer, carefully covering any imperfections and under-eye circles. With a soft powder brush, she set her makeup with a translucent powder, ensuring it would last throughout the evening.
Moving on to her eyes, Saira applied a warm-toned eyeshadow base. She lined her eyes with a rich black kajal, as she kept her eye makeup very light.
Then she applied light peach coloured blush on her cheeks and some highlighter on her cheek bone and nose tip.
For her lips, she chose a bold maroon lipstick, carefully filling in her lips with steady strokes.
After completing her makeup, Saira took a step back to admire her reflection.
Then Saira styled her hair in a loose braid, with soft waves cascading around her shoulders. She adorned the braid with delicate gajra, adding a bridal charm to her look.
Then Saira called her mother and sister for help, they need to drape her dupatta. As Samina and Amaira entered the room, their faces lit up with admiration.
"Masha Allah, Saira! You look absolutely stunning!" Samina exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with pride.
Amaira nodded enthusiastically, "Seriously, you're glowing! This look is perfect for you!"
