Prologue
Tear drops one by one, racing to fall down Rosie's cheeks with her finger running through pages of notes on her hand. Eyes stuck at each word engraved on it; poems and letters from her lover.
I used to enjoy these tears as my eyes wander all over her letter for me, I used to love and enjoy this warmly.
Her only thought now that she's wrapped up with agony. Nothing could beat the sadness of remembering every wonderful thing you've felt and experienced on something that'll hurt you eventually without a warn.
"I'll marry you anywhere you want!"
"Rosie, I need to go."
Something strikes on to Rosie's heart, wanting nothing but to be deaf at this moment. She couldn't bring herself to turn around, grip tightened on the notebook she's holding.
"See you when I see you."
"I hate farewells, Eli."
I thought you hated it whenever I said goodbye. I thought there will never be a farewell between us. Why are you telling me goodbye?
"I'm sorry I'm leaving."
You were never leaving for yourself. You were never sorry because you're only leaving for your own. You'll be leaving me. Leaving the life we created you thought we never had. The life you thought we lost when the world showed you what life truly is.
What is life for you? What is life for Rosie and what is it for her lover, Adrielle?
