Ravens where sent out for the feast for the newest member of the Royal family and within the week noble houses flooded the red keep hoping to catch a sight of the royal baby. The small folk shouted and cheered happily that the family is expanding and that the realm's delight had a successful delivery
"Laena is coming" Laenor whispered to Rhaenyra hopefully not to wake baby Daenerys while holding a sleepy Jacaerys "didn't she just find out she's with child?" Rhaenyra asked shocked that she'd come in such a delicate state. "yes but in her letter she said Vhagar and caraxes where getting antsy like they where waiting for something" "you don't think it's for Daenerys do you?" Rhaenyra asked worry in her voice "let's hope not surly the seven wouldn't let harm to a child" Laenor said worry lacing through his voice
As he said seven Daenerys had made a gagging sound which got her parents attention "seems to not like the faith of the seven" Laenor chuckled listening to his baby as she giggled when he said that "Alicent and the spetas won't like that" Rhaenyra replied with a smile "baby" Jacaerys squealed pointing at his sister who in turn cooed looking at him through her thick eyelashes
A knock at the door interrupted their little family time "your graces the Velaryons are here" Rhaenyras handmaiden Elinda said smiling at the happy family "we shall meet them then" Rhaenyra replied trying to get up "no no princess you only gave birth a while ago you must heal before festivities" Elinda said fussing over Rhaenyra and Daenerys "that was two weeks ago I'm perfectly fine" she replied hoping to try to hide a wince "I'll go meet my family Laena should be coming soon with daemon" "fine yes bring them to meet their heir" Rhaenyra replied looking at laenor with a fake glare "I'll be back" he replied jokingly bowing to his wife before laying Jace down on the bed then walking out.
Noises echoed through the hall where rhaenyras chambers are waking up Jacaerys and Daenerys "she hasn't cried much your grace" Elinda said playing with Daenerys "thank the gods maybe we all can sleep better than with jacaerys" Rhaenyra jested "the Velaryons your grace" "let them in" Rhaenys, Corlys and Laenor walked in "ahhh there's my Jacaerys" Corlys voice echoed as Jace jumped up and down "and the new member what's their name?" "Her name is Daenerys"
Rhaenys eyes lit up at the thought of a girl but not wanting to show emotion "mother would you like to hold her? She just woke up from a nap" "yes of course" Laenor brought over his baby and shifted her to his mother, Corlys was curious as to what got his wife all stiff looking down he was met with the perfect mix of Velaryon and Targaryen. Rhaenys continued to coo at her grandchild with a smile on her face walking around the room "has she gotten an egg?" Corlys asked while playing with Jacaerys
"Yes but funny story" as the married couple told the story Rhaenys was in her own little world staring at the little amethyst eyes that stare at her "my Meleys wants to meet you darling she's growing fussy you'd think she's the baby" Rhaenys voice echoed through the room capturing the attention of the other five " in Lena's letter she said vhagar and caraxes have grown restless also" Laenor told them with a curious look on his face
A know echoed through the room "a dragon keeper your grace" "let them in" in walked two keepers "Meleys Syrax and seasmoke and Vermax are fussy" one just blurted out "and princess Daenerys dragon egg hatched" the other said both looking down to the ground "well should we see them?" Corlys asked looking at the dragon riders
"Yes!" Jacaerys yelled wanting to see vermax "well you herd him let's go" Laenor said picking him up and walking out the door with Jacaerys on his shoulders with Rhaenyra behind him after looking at Rhaenys "I suppose I do want her to meet Meleys" Rhaenys said looking down at the baby in her arms "are you going to hold her the entire time?" Corlys asked "yes." Was all she said and she walked out
As they got to the pit the two keepers went out to get the respective dragons, Syrax and seasmoke almost ran to their riders looking for the baby. Meleys as calmly as she can walked to her friend as if feeling the dragons Daenerys eyes opens opens meeting a greenish yellow eyes, instead of feeling scared she just cooed lifting up an arm to touch
As the coo filled the room Syrax and seasmoke perked up hearing their baby's coo looking over to Meleys who was looking at Daenerys "this is our granddaughter Meleys her name is Daenerys" Rhaenys told her Meleys who was hesitant to let her though leaned in and as the baby's hand touched her nose Meleys to a deep breath and cooed. Syrax and seasmoke went to Meleys and crowded Rhaenys who in return lifted the baby up higher so all three dragons can see her better
Daenerys's giggles echoed as the dragons continued to coo at her "I've never seen dragons do that" a keeper mumbled to them as he brought out the baby dragons "what do you mean?" Corlys voice asked, just as the keeper was gonna answer a high pitched screech filled the air Meleys and Syrax walked out the pit with their own quiet screeches then proceeded to walk back to the baby
Caraxes and daemon came into the pit "let me down Caraxes" daemons voice echoed from atop the dragon as the dragon get him down Laena came in to meet her niece "LAENA" Laenor shouted completely forgetting about the echo causing Daenerys to screech from surprise "grrr" three dragons said in response "sorry sorry" he said sheepishly "let me see my niece" Laena demanded looking at Laenor "we don't have her" Rhaenyra said happy that they're home "then where in the seven hells is she?" Daemon said. A gag of disgust was heard between the dragons
Caraxes used his long neck to his advantage and looked over to see the baby who was already staring at him with a smile. Caraxes cooed and sang a little song to her that made her smile wider showing her gums which got all the dragons to coo. "She's between them isn't she" daemon asked shock on his face "where's mother?" "With her" was all she got
Rhaenys brought Daenerys out with the dragons trailing behind her as guards "can I hold her?" Laena asked her eyes lighting up looking up to Rhaenyra "yeah of course" giddily she took hold of her niece falling in love with her "daemon look" as he can near her looking at Daenerys vhagar decided that she waited long enough " vhagar wants to meet her can she?" A look of unease went between Laenor and Rhaenyra "I'll hold her the entire time" coos and chirps were their ears as the dragons took off one by one meeting with vhagar
