4.HEART TO HEART.....AND A DATE

Zeus woke up to the sunlight falling on his face. He momentarily forgot where he was and tried to get up. When he felt something soft on his chest, he looked down to see the sleeping face of his sexy secretary. That is when he remembered the previous night. Looking down at Evy's sleeping face, he found her beautiful. Evy sighed in her sleep and snuggled more in to his chest making him grin like crazy. He slowly rose and slid off the bed not disturbing her. He decided to ask her about the nightmare she got. When he was looking through her personal file a few days after she took up the job, he found out that her parents died when she was 5 and she and her elder sister Beth grew up in the care of foster parents. But Evy left home as soon as she turned 18 and from then on she lived on her own. Also the information in the file said that her elder sister died the year before Evy moved out. He asked his private detective to gather the info about Evlyn Anna Grace. He is curious to know her past and he is sure she wouldn't tell him if he ask.

Zeus freshened up and went to her kitchen to prepare breakfast for both of them. He is sure that there is sexual attraction between them and it is mutual. But he is not yet ready to involve in another relationship. He is preparing pancakes when a very sleepy Evlyn came out of the bedroom yawning. He chuckled when he saw her sleepy face. Her eyes are half closed with a bird's nest on her head. But she looked cute to him.

''Good morning.'' She wished him groggily.

''Morning Evy. Want some pancakes?''

''You can cook?''

''Of course I can cook. I am a bachelor living myself remember?'' Zeus said feigning hurt.

Evlyn laughed and answered-''yea I want 'em with strawberry syrup. Thank you.''

They are eating their breakfast in comfortable silence when Zeus asked her about the nightmare. Evlyn became stiff and her face paled in the mention of her nightmare. Zeus observed the change and was at her side the next min-
'' hey, it's okay. You don't have to tell if you doesn't want to.  But you will feel better if you spill it to anyone Evy.''
He said while rubbing her back.  Evlyn gave a sigh and nodded. He lead her to the coach in the living room and sat on it leaving a decent space between them. She told him her nightmare and how her foster parents used to abuse her and her sister. Beth was 5 years older than her. She thought of moving out when she was 18 but didn't due to Evy because she is only 13 years old at that time. Their foster parents told her sister that they will kill Evy if she tells anyone or the cops. From the day their abuse became more and more. One day Beth's boyfriend whom she love so much died in a car accident when he was on his way to police after he found out that his girlfriend and her sister are getting abused everyday. After the accident Beth locked herself in her room away from the outside world. Their foster parents didn't even allowed her to attend his burial ceremony.
Evy is trembling by now and Zeus took her in his arms but stayed calm giving her the choice to stop or continue. Evy buried her head in the crook of his neck and continued- ''That day when I returned home from school, I didn't find my foster parents anywhere in the house. When I went up to my room, the door was opened ajar. I went inside a-and m-my sister....s-she was lying there on my floor w-with so much blood around her. She - she cut herself and bled to death.'' By that time she is sobbing hard- 
''She- she...I- I wasn't there to stop it Zeus...I could have saved her...I could have saved her if I was home early that day. The doctors told that she would have lived if she had been brought to hospital 15 min ago. I couldn't save h-her. My fault....it's my fault and I have no one now. I am alone.'' She is sobbing so hard that even he felt tears in his eyes.

''Shh...shh...it wasn't your fault Evy. How could it be your fault. You didn't know she would do that. If it was anyone's fault, that is your foster parents Evy. You have nothing to do with your sisters death. And you are also not alone Evy. I am here for you now, aren't I ? I will be there for you Evy. I will be there for you all your life from now on if you allow me to. I love you Evlyn Anna Grace. I felt the love for you on the very first day I saw you. I felt the urge to protect you and keep you happy all the time. But due to my not so good past , I wasn't sure of the feelings I have towards you.
Now I am DAMN sure that I love you.''

Evlyn tilted her head to look at him and her eyes showed sadness, fear, love and hope. He is sure that love and hope are towards him.

''Really?'' She wishpered.

''Really. And I will be at your side on each and every step you take in your life.''
Her eyes filled with tears.

''Promise?'' She sounded so innocent and vulnerable at that time. Her voice is full of hope which twisted his heart.

''Promise. I promise on my life Evy. I promise.''

She gave him a tearful smile - ''And I love so much too Zeus. I feel safe when I am with you.''

Zeus beamed at her confession and felt proud that she is feeling safer with him. Evlyn laughed because he is like a child opening his birthday present.

''Well then, as you are my official girlfriend, I am taking you out on a date. Now get your cute ass up and be ready with in 2 hours. I will be there to pick you up.''

Evlyn blushed and mumbled an 'okay' and got up to head for the bathroom. But Zeus caught her wrist and pulled her to him. She felt good in his arms.
'' I need some thing from you which is rightfully mine.''

Evlyn looked up at him with a confused face and was about to open her mouth to ask what it was when his lips captured hers. She felt her insides melt in his kiss. The kiss lasted for a min and then both of them pulled apart.

''Now shoo...go and get ready'' he slapped her butt which made her yelp.

Zeus laughed a hearty laugh and winked at her which made her blush. He walked towards the door and was gone after giving her his billion dollar smile.

Yessssssss.......finished the 4th chapter. Sorry for the late update. We moved to another town and was busy unpacking. The story will take a thrilling turn.

BETH'S BOYFRIEND NAME IS COOPER WILLIAMS. What do you think of his death. Is it an accident?????....If not why was he killed???? EVLYN 'S foster parents weren't rich when she and her sister were adopted. Hoe did they get money the next day they adopted the Grace sisters???
