Summer in Gravity Falls had always been full of mysteries, adventures, and the occasional weird creature, but this year, something else had caught my attention. Or rather, someone else. Two someones, to be precise: Dipper and Pacifica.
I noticed the change in Dipper first. He’d always been confident when it came to solving mysteries and facing down the supernatural, but this summer, there was something different. He was more self-assured, more comfortable in his own skin, especially around Pacifica. And Pacifica—she was a lot nicer, more relaxed. She wasn’t the uptight girl I used to butt heads with. She was actually... fun.
Today was one of those lazy days at the Mystery Shack. Dipper was at the kitchen table, scribbling in his journal, probably updating it with the latest ghost encounter. Pacifica was sitting next to him, casually peering over his shoulder to see what he was writing. They were close, their heads almost touching, and I could see the soft smiles they exchanged.
I grabbed my camera, an idea forming in my mind. This was a moment worth capturing. I quietly snapped a photo of Pacifica leaning over Dipper’s shoulder, her expression curious and engaged. Dipper looked up, and they shared a laugh over something he’d written. It was sweet, and it was real.
Perfect for my scrapbook.
I hurried up to my room, excited to start a new chapter. My scrapbook had always been a collection of our best summer moments—monster hunts, mysteries solved, and all the crazy adventures we’d had. But now, it seemed like it needed something more. Something personal.
I flipped to a fresh page and glued the photo down, adding some colorful borders and stickers for flair. At the top, I wrote in bright, bold letters: “Bro Bro’s Summer Romances!”
I couldn’t help but giggle. This was going to be great.
I started jotting down little notes around the photo. “Dipper being all mysterious and smart,” “Pacifica showing her softer side,” and of course, “Potential lovebirds???”
As I worked on the page, I thought about how much both of them had changed. Dipper wasn’t just my dorky twin brother anymore. He was confident and, dare I say it, kind of cool. And Pacifica had gone from being our childhood nemesis to someone who felt like a real friend. Maybe even more than that to Dipper.
Just then, I heard footsteps and looked up to see Dipper standing in the doorway, curiosity written all over his face. “What are you up to, Mabel?”
I quickly covered the scrapbook page with my arms, a mischievous grin spreading across my face. “Oh, nothing! Just adding to my collection of summer memories.”
Dipper raised an eyebrow. “Uh-huh. Can I see?”
“Nope!” I said, giggling. “It’s a surprise!”
He rolled his eyes but smiled. “Alright, keep your secrets. Just don’t embarrass me too much, okay?”
“No promises!” I called after him as he walked away, shaking his head.
I turned back to my scrapbook, adding a few more embellishments and notes. This was going to be an interesting summer, and I wanted to capture every moment of it. Especially the ones that hinted at something more between Dipper and Pacifica.
After all, who knew where this would lead? Maybe it was just a summer fling, or maybe it was the start of something more. Whatever it was, I wanted to remember it. And what better way than through the pages of my scrapbook?
I leaned back, admiring my handiwork. This was just the beginning. I couldn’t wait to see what other moments I could capture and add to “Bro Bro’s Summer Romances!”
With a satisfied smile, I closed the scrapbook and tucked it away. There were plenty of adventures ahead, and I was ready to document them all.
