Chapter 5: The Badge and The Burden

Y/n was sleeping soundly in his bed enjoying his rest. A shadow loomed over him and showed Rubyin her school uniform with a whistle about to blow it but...

Y/n:(with his eyes closed) Ruby if you blow that whistle in my ears, say goodbye to your cookie stashes.

As soon as he said that Ruby instantly backs away with her head down knowing her brother would do that... Again.

Y/n:(getting up) Well since I'm awake might as well get ready.

Y/n got from his bed and went into the dorm room's bathroom and saw that both Yang and Blake woke up and were in their uniforms and Weiss was still sleeping. After a quick shower and brushing his Tail, Y/n puts on his uniform but decides to leave the blazer open, ditch the blue vest and loosen the tie and open the first button on his shirt and like Ruby he puts on his cloak. When he got out of the bathroom he still saw Weiss sleeping.

Y/n: Wow she is still sleeping.

Ruby: Not for long!

Ruby grabs the whistle again but turns to Y/n.

Ruby:(nervous) Uh... can I use it?

Y/n: I said if you blew in MY ear I would take away your stashes... I can't say about the others. But before you do that...(turns to Yang with a Devilish smile) Yang can you hand me that marker.

Yang also gave a similar smile to Y/n and happily gave him the marker. Y/n quietly went up to a sleeping Weiss and wrote 'Ice Queen' on her forehead and back away.

Blake: You know she'll probably kill you for that.

Y/n:(shrugs) Maybe. But you gotta enjoy the simple things in life. (turns to Ruby) You probably blow the whistle sis, it looks like she's waking up.

Ruby grinned and went next to Weiss who started to wake up while Y/n covered his Fox ears. Weiss's eyes flutter open and she stretches her arms above herself, yawning, while Ruby creeps up on her side and suddenly blows a whistle, causing Weiss to fall off the bed.

Ruby: Good morning, Team RWBY!

Weiss: (from the floor) What in the world is wrong with you?

Ruby: (ignoring the question) Now that you're awake, we can officially begin our first order of business.

Weiss: (getting up and brushing herself off) Excuse me?

Yang: (holding a collection of objects, pillows, pamphlets, a candle-holder, in her arms, alongside Blake and Y/n) Decorating!

Weiss: What?!

Blake: (lifting her suitcase) We still have to unpack. (the suitcase opens, spilling its contents)

Y/n: Aaaand clean.

Weiss (who's oblivious to what's on her forehead) does not look enthusiastic, especially when Ruby knocks her back again with her blow of her whistle.

Ruby: Aaaalright! Weiss, Blake, Yang, Y/n and their fearless leader Ruby have begun their first mission! (raises her fist into the air) Banzai!

Blake, Yang & Y/n: (doing the same at Ruby's sides) Banzai!

They turn at an angle as Weiss lays on the floor and sighs.

Weiss:(getting up from the floor) Fine. But let me get ready first.

Weiss said while passing the others while they started to snicker which she ignored and went into the dorm room's bathroom.

Y/n:(smiles while holding up his fingers in a countdown) 3, 2, 1....
