After 8 years, Park Ha-rin had grown up; she was now 16 years old and still living with her aunt. "Auntie, I'm going out-" Before she could finish her sentence, Soo-jin spoke.
"No, Ha-rin, you still have a fever. You can't just go around and fight like your dad." Soo-jin immediately regretted what she said and looked at Ha-rin.
"I'll be okay, Auntie, I promise," Ha-rin said as she headed out the door.
"You-ugh, you really are like your father, Park Ha-rin!" Soo-jin exclaimed.
As Ha-rin walked around, some guys spotted her. "Hey, it's the legend killer's daughter. What a shame," one of them said. Ha-rin ignored them, thinking to herself, (Just ignore them. They don't know what they're talking about. Ha-rin, calm down, okay? Calm down.)Then she rushed over to the guys, kicked their balls, and ran away laughing escaping the scene.
It had always been like this for Ha-rin-always being called the killer's daughter, blah blah blah. But she didn't care about it. She just lived her life, not caring what people thought about her or her father.
As she was running, she bumped into a guy. "Are you okay?" he asked. Ha-rin looked at him, judging by his clothes that he was from the Lee Clan of the Celestial Crane, also known as the Lee Clan. "You're not from here, are you?"
The young man smiled politely, brushing off his clothes. "I'm Lee Dong-hyun from the Lee Clan of the Celestial Crane. And you must be Park Ha-rin."
Ha-rin raised an eyebrow, a bit taken aback. "How do you know my name?"
"Your reputation precedes you," Dong-hyun said, his tone neutral. "I've heard a lot about you and your father."
Ha-rin felt a twinge of irritation but kept her composure. "And what brings you here, Lee Dong-hyun?"
"I'm here on behalf of my clan. We're looking to form alliances, and your family has come up as a potential ally," he explained. "I was sent to gauge your interest and see if we can work together."
Ha-rin crossed her arms, skeptical. "And why would i want to ally with you?"
Dong-hyun's expression turned serious. "Because there are dark forces gathering, and even the strongest warriors can't stand alone. We believe that combining our strengths could benefit both our clans and protect our people."
Ha-rin considered his words carefully. She had always been taught to be cautious and trust few, but the sincerity in Dong-hyun's eyes made her pause. "I'll have to talk to my aunt and think it over," she finally said.
Dong-hyun nodded. "Of course. Take your time. I'll be staying in the village for a few days. If you decide you're interested, you can find me at the inn."
With that, he gave her a small bow and walked away, leaving Ha-rin standing there, deep in thought. She knew she needed to discuss this with her aunt Soo-jin and perhaps even with her father when he returned. The idea of an alliance was intriguing, but it also brought potential dangers and challenges.
As she made her way back home, Ha-rin couldn't help but wonder what the future held. For the first time in a long while, she felt a glimmer of hope and curiosity about what might come next.
"Looks like your fever's gone, huh?" Soo-jin said, raising an eyebrow.
"Um, Auntie, I need to tell you something," Ha-rin began.
Soo-jin, curious, nodded for her to continue. "Someone talked to me; he's from the Lee Clan."
Soo-jin's eyes widened in shock, and she rushed to check on Ha-rin. "Did he hurt you!?" she asked, her concern evident.
"No, he didn't," Ha-rin replied. "But he said he wanted us to, you know, work together, maybe even fight."
Soo-jin's expression turned serious, and she glared at Ha-rin. "Do you even know what you're talking about, Young lady!? The Lee Clan despises your father. They're the ones who wanted to kill him so badly! And you're telling me this!?"
