Jason doesn't usually leave his fellow Scout's sides unless he's chasing a kid down, and he doesn't usually yell people's names unless he's chewing them out.

This is why when he came to the stump alone, and called for Craig to come out, Craig was already annoyed.

"What did I do THIS time?" He groans, climbing out of the stump.

"What? You didn't do anything."

"...Okay." Craig is confused at Jason's confusion. "Then what do you want?"

Jason clears his throat. "Since you are the Creek's resident mapmaker," he begins, "and the only one that I really know, I was wondering if you could..." he gets timid, voice quieting. "...Help me get my cartography badge?"

It processes in Craig's head for a moment what that means, before he breaks out in a smug grin. "So you're saying you need ME—"

"Yes, that's what—"

"To make YOU a map?"

"Well, you would help me make—"

"To get YOUR badge?"

"...Yes," states Jason, his very forced smile showing off his braces. "So do you agree or not?"

"Hold on, let me BASK in the glory for just a few more moments—"

Jason lets him bask for a few moments (because he really needs to get this badge today, and this is a borderline hostage situation) before Craig runs to the stump and grabs some paper, pens and markers.

Twenty minutes later, Jason has a badge worthy map in his hands and Craig is still smiling smugly.
