~1st person POV~ Adeline ~
I slept peacefully after that, something about Bucky's presence soothing my tumultuous mind. I start to wake up, but I don't open my eyes yet, I want to savor the moment. I feel Bucky's arm around my middle and I feel his head nuzzled into my back. I move slightly, trying not to wake him, but I feel him tense up immediately. I open my eyes and glance at the clock, it reads 9:27.
"We slept late." I murmur to him.
"I haven't slept this late in a long time." Bucky replies, his voice low and rough from sleep.
"Me neither."
"Are you feeling better?" He asks me.
"Definitely." I start to wonder why no one has come to get us up yet and he must have the same feeling.
"We should probably get up before the others come looking." Bucky grumbles into my hair, expressing his reluctance to leaving the bed.
"I don't want to get up yet, I'm so cozy." I groan.
"I make a pretty good pillow, huh?" I can practically hear the smirk in his voice.
"I don't feel like making your head bigger than it is, Winter." I let out a small laugh.
He tightens his arm around my middle and pulls me into him. "Really? That's how you want to play this?" He chuckles.
"Oh, stop it." I squirm in his grip and let out a laugh. "You know I could totally put you on your ass in a fight."
"You sure? You've been frozen while I've been continuing to train." He smirks at me.
"Frozen doesn't mean wasting away, I'm perfectly preserved Winter." I stick my tongue out at him.
He lets out a low laugh and I hear my stomach grumble.
"You hungry?" Bucky murmurs into my hair as he places a kiss on my head. I try not to react to his display of affection, it's so alien to me I have no idea how to react.
"A little bit, I mean I did throw up the contents of my entire stomach last night." I add with a laugh, trying to control whatever the weird fluttering in my stomach is.
"Let's get up and go get you a little something." Bucky says as he starts to unwrap his body from mine.
"Fine." I groan as I sit up in bed. I roll my shoulders and neck to try to relieve the stiffness in my vibranium shoulder.
"Your arm gets stiff in the morning too, huh?" Bucky smirks as he notices my stretching.
"Always, my leg is better but my shoulder is always stiff in the morning." I swing my legs one the edge of the bed and extend my legs.
"Friday? Are the other in the kitchen?" Bucky asks Friday as I stand up.
"No, they left on a mission earlier this morning. Captain Rodgers didn't want to wake you or Miss Silver so they left without telling you." Friday's voice fills my room.
"Damn, they really left us here?" Bucky scoffs, shaking his head.
"Guess so." I shrug.
