"I will count every minute that we're apart."

"and I will count every second."

These were the last words ever said as Selenia gave Arthur one last goodbye kiss before he headed off to defeat the vile Maltazard once and for all. That tenth moon was supposed to be the day he came back to see her but because of nature's interference, she wasn't allowed the privilege of seeing her beloved.

As the wings of the bee continued to beat the air like blades on a helicopter, Selenia and Betameche watched as their hero reunited with his family.

"Isn't that just the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? Family is reunited."

Beta holding back tears as he uttered those words.

"Yes, it truly is and soon we shall be with ours. See you soon my prince"

and off they went flying back to their home crossing the enormous field of towering grass blades and flowers dotting the region.

They landed near the entrance of the tunnel leading to the Minimoy Village. "Thanks for the transport." Beta said pulling out his knife. Pushing one of the buttons, a stick comes out with a drop of sweet honey. The bee extends in mandibles and takes the honey, "Off  you go." He says as it flies away.

I miss you so much already She cries internally as her eyes swell up with tears. The thought of him not returning back to her was already painful enough and having to watch him leave before her eyes was heartbreaking. Continuing their walk towards the imposing gate that led to the main entrance of the village, Selenia held his sword in the slot of her weapon holster clutching it tightly.

They approached the gate and knocked three times as the footsteps of the guards could be heard. A small, lookout window was opened as the guard peered through revealing Betameche and Selenia standing outside

"They're at the gate!" The guard called out

The door opened and the light became brighter as the village came into view. Crowds of minimoys gathered around them to welcome them home. Heading to the obelisk where Arthur had once pulled the sword out, Selenia unsheathes the blade silently weeping as she thrusts the sword in and its light radiated with that of the sun.

Her Father came out and Selenia ran over to him falling to her knees holding back tears as she hugged him.

"My daughter, I know this wasn't what you wanted to happen. I promise you he will come back and you two can have a moment to yourselves before the celebration." He said holding her in a comforting embrace as a father would to his own children who he cherishes for life.

"I know he will, he always does. It's like clockwork." Beta remarked stifling a chuckle knowing full well the punishment he may be receiving for making a comment of that magnitude

Selenia and her father glared daggers at him which sent a shiver up Beta's spine

"Now is not the time for jokes Beta." He belched out loud

"Ok, ok, geez, I thought it would lighten to the mood up a little. Why must everything be so somber now?" Beta stated with an upset tone of voice turning around to head for his room in the palace.

Selenia heads for her house. Climbing up the stairs to the walkway, she opens the door, closing it just behind her and plopping down onto her bed before screaming into her pillow as a waterfall of tears came pouring out of her eyes. Never in her life had she cried so much just from him disappearing from her sight. It felt as though her heart had shattered like paned window glass into millions of pieces.

ARTHUUUURRR!!!! She internally screams as his absence made every part of her shake in sadness. She felt so alone. She now longed for his touch on her skin and being held in his loving arms. She tries to imagine the three heavenly words he would say to her when he returns. The words that would always cause her heart to ascend and her cheeks blush brighter than a rose in sunlight

'I love you Selenia'

Saying goodbye to someone you know and love hurts but you know one day, they will come back and all the memories, moments, and emotions will burst forth like the breaking of a dam. All those pent up feelings of longing, waiting, and passion will overflow.

unbeknownst to Selenia, that day wouldn't happen for a very, very long time.
