First off - please forgive me if the writing is bad or there's things that are there just for plot convenience. I just wrote this for fun, so uh please bare with me on this🙏🙏

It was the fall of 2012. As per an average day at the Armed Detective Agency in Yokohama, Japan, Doppo Kunikida was working as hard as he could, putting effort into every pen stroke and staple. This was a part of his routine when he wasn't on a case at least, but that would come to an end soon. The door opened and one of the clerks was standing there.
"Mr. Kunikida, we got a new call, there was a robbery. The robber seemed to have an ability, witnesses reported."
"I see. Do we have a description?" he asked while still typing and writing documents, as he'd keep working whenever he got the chance.
The woman looked over her clipboard.
"Yes, a young male, presumably in his 20s. He was wearing a teal hoodie, with jeans. He had black hair and brown eyes."
Kunikida pushed his glasses up his nose.
"I see, I'll be on it with Dazai."
The woman nodded and left as Kunikida stood up, pushed his ponytail behind his back, and walked over to the agency's couch, finding the bandaged man; Dazai lying there. This wasn't unusual in the least; Dazai would always be lying around, doing nothing, or looking for a woman to die with, or downstairs in the cafe trying to get the waiter to react to his romantic advances. It never worked, as she just reminded him of his enlarging tab at the establishment. Only occasionally, or when Kunikida forced him to, he'd get up and go out on a mission. Kunikida looked at the man sternly.
"Dazai, get up. You're coming with me."
Dazai looked up from the couch from the book he had read hundreds of times and took his headphones off.
    "Hmmmmm..."
"What is there to think about?! You don't have a choice in this."
"What do we even have to do this time?" Dazai whined.
"There was a robbery by an ability user, he's too dangerous for normal police to deal with. So, that leaves it to us. We have to uphold our duty to-"
"Yeah yeah, you tell me this every time. Hey, Atsushi, mind going on a mission with Kunikida?"
Atsushi perked his heap up from this desk.
"If you need me to, yes I can! I just need to finish this first and-"
"No, no Atsushi, you won't need to, this is Dazai's job." Kunikida interrupted
Atsushi nodded and got back to his work, and Kunikida took Dazai's book, leaving him with no choice but to accompany Kunikida.

It was around four p.m. when Dazai and Kunikida were out looking for the culprit with a newly provided last-seen location, courtesy of the clerk. On the sidewalk, Kunikida was far ahead walking at a moderate pace, in juxtaposition to his partner hunching over, moping.
"Kunikidaaaaaaaaa I'm hungry...!" Dazai whined while holding his stomach, exaggerating. "Can we get food, pleeeeaaase?"
"Last time you said that, we were fifty minutes off schedule after you took your sweet time eating!" he replied, holding out his notebook, that said 'Ideals' in kanji, "Do you know how much of my time I had to replan? Thirty days Dazai, I had to replan my ideal schedule, precisely!"
Dazai let out a smirk. He knew what he did before made Kunikida have to rewrite and replan everything. It was just fun to mess with him and waste his time. But Kunikida didn't necessarily hate planning; he was always content with perfecting his ideals. But not only did his notebook help him just write things down, it was also a part of his ability; Doppo Poet.
"If you let me get food, I swear I'll actually listen to you on this case!" Dazai pleaded.
"Huh...?"
"Yes! So pleeaaase!" the bandaged man continued, "I'm going to die of hunger!"
"Fine." Kunikida answered, "Let's go to this place."
Kunikida kept walking towards the restaurant. He expected Dazai to make some sort of noise or be by his side, but he wasn't. He turned around, but his colleague was nowhere to be seen.
"Dammit Dazai.." the man said as he called him on his phone, and Dazai did eventually pick up. "Where the hell are you?!"
"East! He's running east!" Dazai yelled from the other side of the phone in rushed breaths, it seemed he was running.
"Got it." Kunikida hung up the phone.
He started running through the streets of Yokohama, heading east for the culprit; the robber. Kunikida realized that his partner had run off because he saw the robber.
"Bastard.." he muttered to himself.
When Kunikida finally made it to Dazai, they were both in an abandoned warehouse by the harbor. The windows were broken, the metal walls rusted, and the floor deteriorated. When he looked to his side, he saw someone; a young male, presumably in his 20s, wearing a teal hoodie, with jeans. Black hair and brown eyes, too. Kunikida gasped and immediately grabbed his notebook and ripped out a page that had "gun" written on it.
"Special Ability: Doppo Poet!" he yelled as the paper turned into a green flashing light, and suddenly turned into a gun he was holding in his hand.
Kunikida aimed the gun at the man, protecting him and Dazai.
"Tch, just a gun? That's it?" the man rolled his eyes.
"Just give the money back, let us arrest you, and let's make this easy," Dazai added, sounding more serious than usual. "You can't do much against me anyway."
"Huh?" The robber said in confusion.
"Mhm, my ability is like an anti-ability. It nullifies any ability used on me, and I can stop other people's abilities."
"Why are you telling me this?!"
"Because," Dazai replied, "You an amateur, you can't do anything real serious to me or my partner."
"Dazai," Kunikida called over "Stop toying with the criminal."
Dazai sighed and walked away from the robber. All of a sudden, he bursted into a laugh. Kunikida and Dazai looked over at him, questioning what was happening.
"Ah ha ha ha!!! Can't you see?! This is the perfect time! It worked out!" The robber continued to laugh.
"Hey, why the hell are you laughing?" Kunikida questioned.
"You two! Your absolute joke of an 'agency' murdered my father in cold blood!" He said but no response came from the two "You don't even remember?!"
"I don't know what you're talking about, the Agency has never-" Kunikida said, doing his best to prove the agency's innocence.
"Just shut up." The robber interjected "Special Ability: Old Pond!"
The man hit his hand on the ground, sending a line of water to Dazai and Kunikida. The water made a big puddle beneath the two. Something shot into Dazai's arm, and when he looked at it, it was a dart.
"Dammit, I've heard of these.." Dazai stated as he clutched his arm.
"Dazai! What?! Your ability-" Kunikida cried.
"Anti-ability darts! That's all there is to it and someone shot me with one!" his partner cried.
"Oh, and before I forget," the robber added "my name is Matsuo Basho. Don't ever forget it."
After he said that, the two fully submerged into the puddle...but they were underwater in a black void. This was Matsuo's ability, but there was more. While the puddle they fell through had closed leaving them in complete darkness, another opened and started to suck them down. The new puddle sucked them out, and they landed on the ground. It seemed like a classroom; two wooden desks, a wooden floor, some chairs, and a chalkboard at the front. When they turned around the puddle was gone.
Kunikida and Dazai were coughing, and getting air back, when two people were walking up to the room from the hallway. The two strangers slid open the door. They were dumbfounded.
One of them was very tall, over six feet, and wearing a black uniform with a blindfold and white hair. The other with pink hair, a red hood, and a dark blue uniform.
The pink-haired guy asked, "Gojo-sensei, do you know these people?"
"Hmm..." the blindfolded man looked at both of them curiously.
"No, I don't. I have no idea how they got through Tengen's barrier either."
Kunikida looked at Dazai with a look of anger for getting into this mess, and confusion from what just happened.
"What the hell Dazai?!"
