Our day together was so enjoyable. We returned home, happiness written on our faces, walking hand in hand through the quiet house.

My brows furrowed in confusion. “Where are they?” Umalis rin kaya sila?

“Nasa playroom sila. Naglalaro ng billiard.” my eyes lit up. Gusto kong sumali!

“Gusto ko ring maglaro, Sundrick.” sabi ko habang tumingala sakanya. Mas matangkad siya kesa sakin eh.

“Hindi ka pa ba napapagod, baby ko?” he asked softly, cupping me cheek with his warm calloused hand, caressing my right eye tenderly.

His other hand wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to him. Our belongings were already scattered on the ground.

Bakit naman ako mapapagod kung andito ka sa tabi ko, Sundrick? You're my comfort and safe haven. Since I fell for you, I've never felt worn out. Your presence envelops me like a warm embrace, smoothing the rough edges of my soul. With you, even the most chaotic days find peace, and the weight of the world feels lighter.

I leaned into his hand, not minding rough rind of it. “You're my charger.” biro ko kahit totoo naman.

“Ikaw ha. gaya-gaya ka sakin.” he jested while chuckling.

Sundrick and I decided to join in the squad. Patungo kami sa third floor ng bahay kung saan ang playroom. Pagdating namin doon ay ingay agad ang bumungad sa aming dalawa.

“Nakauwi na pala ang kayo! Musta ang date- ehem outing?” asar ni Brylle habang taas-baba ang mga kilay niya kaya sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. Tuloy lang siya sa pag-aasar sakin kaya hindi ko na ito pinansin pa.

Everyone is here, each finding their own group to bond with. Kuya Uno, Kuya Jake, Kuya Mikael, and Kuya Renzi are playing billiards, while Ate Mavy, Kuya Renzo, Brylle, and I are chatting together.

I look at Kuya Renzo when I felt his stares on me. He move his face a bit, telling me something. I nodded my head when I comprehend what he's actions, he wants us to talk.

Kuya Renzo stood up, leaving the room so I followed him. Paglabas ko ng playroom, nadatnan ko si Kuya Renzo na nakasandal lang sa pader na parang hinihintay niya ako.

“Huuy pasama ako!” napapikit ako sa inis ng marinig ko ang boses ni Brylle. Why is he following us?

Before I could even protest, Kuya Renzo let him. “Dapat lang dahil may pag-uusapan rin tayo, Brylle.” Kuya Renzo's voice filled with authority making Brylle step back a little.

“Hehe.. Pwedeng mamaya— oo na po, retsam, sasama na nga.” Brylle nagged in defeat when Kuya Renzo arched him a brow.

Kuya Renzo wanted to talk in our room so no one could bother us.

“Ano na ang meron sa inyo ni Sundrick, sunshine?” tanong agad ni Kuya.

“Uhmm.. I don't know?” Friends? Hindi ko alam.

“Anong I don't know? Wag mong sabihin na wala kayong label? Ano yan? Situationship? May situation pero walang relasyon? Yung mala- Ano-ba-ang-tawag-sa-di-ko-nga syota-Pero-kayakap-ko-naman-sa-gabi, ganern?” I glared at Brylle while pulling off with a song. Makapagsalita parang hindi siya ganyan.

“He promised me.” depensa ko pero mukhang hindi ata nagustuhan ni Kuya Renzo.

Kuya Renzo sighed deeply. “I told you to stop waiting for Sundrick.” when did he told me that? Wala akong naalala na sinabi niya iyan sakin.
