Author's pov

Waleed approached them, gently taking Saira's hand in his. He placed Aariz's hand over hers and said with a warm, emotional tone,

"Saira has been the light of our home, and now she will be the light of yours. Take care of her, protect her, and always cherish her. She may seem strong, but there are times she needs support and understanding."

Aariz nodded solemnly, his eyes reflecting genuine sincerity. He looked at Saira, who was now holding back tears as she hugged her father tightly, her shoulders trembling with emotion.

Asiya, stepped forward, her voice carrying a blend of strength and sadness. "Now, it's time to take my daughter to her new home."

Saira's eyes welled up again. She and Aariz rose from their seats, their hands tightly clasped as Waleed joined their hands.

They walked slowly towards the venue's entrance, each step heavy with mixed emotions. The guests watched in silence, their faces mirroring the poignant atmosphere.

At the entrance, Saira stopped, taking a deep breath as if trying to steady herself. Aariz, noticing her struggle, gave her hand a reassuring squeeze.

She turned back, tears spilling freely as she hugged her mother one last time, whispering, "Mummy, it's hard for me, I cannot go."

Samina's face was streaked with tears. She gently pulled Saira closer, her voice cracking slightly. "Beta, ye to hona hi tha na. And it's not goodbye. Our house is always yours. We will come to meet you every year, okay? Now don't cry, hmm? Your mummy will miss you a lot."

They embraced tightly, their sobs mingling. Samina pulled back gently, planting a kiss on Saira's forehead.

Saira turned to her sister Amira, her face streaked with tears. "I'll miss you a lot, meri bandariya. And don't you dare think of taking over my room!"

Amira, laughing through her tears, replied, "I'll miss you too, dii, and I won't even touch your room. But you better come back often. Don't forget us."

Saira managed a tearful chuckle and hugged her sister tightly. "Pagli," she mumbled affectionately.

Next, she hugged Azlan, her shoulders shaking with sobs. Azlan, fighting his own tears, said, "Ab zyada senti mat ho, aur apna khayal rakhna."

She nodded, then turned to Zain, saying, "Aa rahi hoon bhai, aapke sheher, aapko pareshan karne ke liye."

Zain chuckled warmly, "Aisi pyaari musibat ko to mai dil khol ke welcome karunga."

Finally, she hugged Rayyan, managing a small laugh as she said, "I'll miss your stupid acts, bhai." They both laughed, recalling their shared jokes and stupid acts.

Rayyan, trying to maintain his composure, said, "Now don't cry. We're just one call away, okay? And if anything happens to you..." He trailed off, his gaze shifting to Aariz, who stood with a stern expression.

Ayaaz, sensing the tension, placed a hand on Rayyan's shoulder and said reassuringly, "Don't worry, Rayyan. She has four brothers at her new home. If anything happens to my dear sister because of my useless friend, he will be homeless. You don't need to worry."

Aariz rolled his eyes, a wry smile on his face, while everyone laughed, breaking the somber mood. Saira hugged her father once more, feeling the weight of the moment settling on her.

Suddenly, a playful song blared from the speakers: "Gadi Wala Aaya Ghar Se Kachra Nikal." Everyone turned to see Azlan, a mischievous grin on his face, standing by the sound system.
