Chapter 6

Zac POV:

Driving out of WilBarn, I am in awe of Fatima's brains. She got me so excited for this project, he high spirits definitely rubbed off on me. I like how at ease I felt around her. It is almost like I've known her all my life! I think I got too comfortable though, how could I ignore my own wife's calls? What if it was an emergency! I gotta do better!

Malaysia: Zee

Zac: Hey babe, what's up?

Malaysia: Nothing much, I was returning your call when I called earlier.

Zac: Oh ok,  you alright?

Malaysia: Zac just ask what you wanna ask, stop dancing around it.

Zac: I just did!

Malaysia: I don't have time for this, the baby is crying.

Zac: Alright, I'll talk to you later.

Malaysia: Cool

Zac: I lo - (call gets cut) hello?

Did she just hang up on me? The hell? 

I continued driving to my office trying not to overthink Ky's actions. This is normal in our household, I tried to suggest therapy because I can tell she's not herself but she insists she's fine so I'm not going to press her. I arrived at the office, noticed Tokyo is not in so I just went to catch up on my admin.

Malaysia POV:

Janay: Girl, are you okay? Why were you so short with Zac?

Asia: I'm fine girl, I just don't want to deal with Zac right now because everything is about sex with him.

Janay: What do you mean?

Asia: Well we haven't been active in a while, every night is spent with him begging for it and I'm over it!

Janay: Every night? How long has it been?

Asia (hesitates): A little over 7 months 😞

Janay: 7 months? Friend, is everything okay? Why haven't you said anything?

Asia: I'm okay, I just, it's just, it's complicated.

Janay: Malaysia, you know you can talk to me right?

Asia: I know friend, it's just (heavy sigh) I don't feel like myself. 

Janay (holding Asia's hands): That's totally normal friend, you just had a baby.

Asia: Yeah, I guess. It's a lot, I don't even recognize myself in the mirror anymore. I can't even go on any diet because I'm breastfeeding and then there's this guilt that's just eating me alive (starts crying)

Janay (goes in for a hug): Aaahw friend, it's going to be ok. You're a great mom, don't beat yourself up with the mom guilt.

Asia: It's not that, I did something terrible friend (cries hysterically)

Janay: Okay, we don't have to talk about it now because it's clearly upsetting you. Let me get you some water.

**Janay goes to get a bottle of water from the fridge and hands it to Malaysia**

Janay: Here, take a sip of some water. 

I took a sip of my water and it somewhat helped with calming me down from crying.

Janay: I'm so sorry about this, we're gonna figure it out. Together. I'm right here.

Asia (got out of Janay's embrace and looked her dead in her face): Janay, I cheated on Zac.
