Hello!! So I'm going to be adding more onto this story, and I just wanted to post the first chapter and see how it does to see if it's good enough to continue! I'd appreciate if you could tell me what you all think!! I hope you all enjoy!!

I was there in my room ,sitting in the same spot at my desk listening to music and writing a new story. I had heard my parents fighting upstairs and I started holding back tears.

"God, why can't they just divorce or something already.." I whispered to myself.

They had been fighting all night for the past week now, but in the mornings they act as if nothing happened the night before, as if they weren't on the verge of throwing hands, as if my mother wasn't't ready to leave that minute.

"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS PULL THIS BULLSH*T WITH ME!? IT ENDS THE SAME EACH TIME!" My mother shouts from the upstairs living room, I can hear her that she is upset and obviously is exhausted.

"WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO YOU LINDSAY!!? WHY HAVE YOU GIVEN UP!!" My father shouts back, obviously intoxicated.

I've been staying in my room for days at a time, only coming up to eat which was only in the night. I never chose to go upstairs, unless absolutely necessary.

"YOU ALWAYS DO THIS JIM!! PUT THE DAMN CANS DOWN! YOU'RE RUINING THIS FAMILY, THINK ABOUT OUR KIDS!" My mother yells through tears and pure disappointment.

"OH TO HELL WITH THOSE DAMN KIDS! THEY CAN NEVER DO ANYTHING RIGHT ANYWAYS!" My dad shouts back.

I'm holding back tears and choking back the pain. So many times I've stopped myself from going up there and hitting my father and just cussing and yelling at him, try to prove my point that he's a bum and a bad father.

"Why can't he realize what he's doing to us.." I think to myself, also thinking of my little sisters. "They're not quiet, and there's been so many times they've come crying to me needing my help and reassurance that everything will go back to normal." I keep thinking.

They've been at the same fight for weeks, my father accusing my mother of cheating because she was talking to a coworker that happened to be male, and he didn't like that. So he keeps getting drunk, and putting our whole family in distress. All because of his insecurities of himself.

"GET OUT LINDSAY!" He shouts again, as if it's the first time he's said it.

"YOU KNOW WHAT, FINE. F*CK YOU!" She shouts back, I immediately get up and dash upstairs.
"What do you mean!? You can't leave!!" I yell to her. "This isn't your f*cking problem kid." My father says in a slurred, low tone. "I'll be back sweetheart.. Just let me go for now.." My mother says after I confront her.

She grabs her prepared bag, some food, her purse, and her wallet. "I love you, I'll be back, I promise..." She says kissing my forehead. "Stay strong for the girls.." she says tearing up.

"Don't leave us momma.. please." I say crying.

"Oh stop your f*cking whining, it's annoying.. Get me a beer! Make yourself usefull." Father calls to me as my mother is leaving.

"F*ck off." I say under my breath. "The f*ck did you say girl?" He says standing up. "I said... F*CK OFF!!" I bolt downstairs and out of my ground floor window with my bag.

I run as far as I can while not going so far that I lose my way back home. "I just did that.. Holy Sh*t." I say panting.

"I need to find somewhere to stay for the rest of the night.. Maybe there's a tree out of view of most people.." I say starting to walk towards a clearing with one big tree in the middle of it.

"This'll work I guess.. Not like I'm going to actually sleep.." I set my stuff down and lean on the tree.

I had been sitting there till daybreak, and I heard my fathers truck leave as he has work early in the morning. I start heading back home and I see that my window was still open. "I guess he didn't go downstairs and saw that I left.."

I go towards my window, flip off the camera that's by the front door and head back inside my room. It's cold from the window being open for the past six hours.

"God it's freezing in here.." I say shivering, closing my window and turning my heater on.

I heard upstairs ready for the girls to come down for breakfast and start preparing their individual cereals that they eat.

"Goodmorning Ellie!!" My little sister calls to me, "Good morning Flower." I say to her,
"What's wrong?" She asks while sitting down at her spot. "What do you mean hun?" I ask confused, "You only call me Flower when you're upset." She replies quickly with a slightly worried tone. "Oh no no, just a long night, everythings alright Kandy!" I say with a fake smile.

"Mornin' guys!" My other sister says while coming down the stairs, "Goodmorning Brianna!" Me and Kandy say in sync.

"Mmm it's still kinda dark outside." Brianna says, "Yeah, it kind of is. But better now then never!!" I say with fake confidence.

They both finish eating and then get up putting their dishes in the sink. "Alright, time for school everyone! Get your bags and shoes, we're gonna be late!" I start running around and the girls laugh and get their stuff ready.

"Maybe one day, they'll understand what I do.." I whisper on our way to our busses.
