Storm meets the Sea

Chapter 3

Percy's POV

Me and Thalia had first decided to go to Olympus, but in the end, we headed to Prosser Pines, which was one of the woods that she had camped out in with the other hunters. On the way, we were talking about what we would do now that she had quit the hunters and I had been betrayed (well, along with Thalia). We were going to stay with each other and I was hoping that she would get over Nico soon. I hadn't expected to get over Annabeth this quickly but I was starting to develop a crush on Thalia. Well, actually, not really just now. It had started when I got her out of the tree but at that time I had a feeling that I liked Annabeth but the feelings were always there. Then, Thalia joined the hunters and I fell madly in love with Annabeth and she loved me back so my feelings sort of went away for her. But they had come back now. I get furious thinking this because, now, whenever I think of that annoying wisdom spawn, I just get so mad at her, and Nico, and the 3 Fates. Honestly, the Fates were cruel. 

I glance at Thalia. She is sleeping soundly and she just looks so cute with her little spiky hair in her face and no. I thought to myself. She doesn't like you. I watched her asleep until I fell asleep myself. 

Thalia's POV

Percy has been really sweet to me and I know that he just wants me to get over Nico but I'm just so happy and I am actually getting over Nico even though its not in the way he imagined. I love him and I really want to tell him that but I just can't. What if he doesn't like me or if he hasn't gotten over Annabeth yet?

 ********************************Back at CHB, the next morning********************************

Annabeth's POV

I woke up and I remembered that James had kissed me. Ugh. Why would he do that? Doesn't he know that I have a boyfriend? Omg, Percy. What if he saw it? We usually hanged out at my cabin and he didn't come. My eyes widened in horror. I quickly got up and got dressed when I saw Nico at my cabin door. Huh, weird.

"Oh, hi, Nico. Is there anything you need?" I asked.

He nervously said, "Oh, I can't find Thalia anywhere and I heard that she came to Camp yesterday."

"Oh" I said, smiling, knowing that he had a crush on her. "Well, I'll help you find her cuz I need to find Percy as well".

"Yeah, but it's not that!" He replied, his face in a look of panic. "Yesterday, Aria, you know, the daughter of Apollo, kissed me and I'm worried that Thalia saw it and I want her to know it wasn't like that" He ranted.

"Huh, weird thing because James, Aria's twin brother kissed me and I have no idea why and I'm worried that Percy saw that as well. Do you think they planned this?" I frowned.

"What?! Omg, I hope not."

"Okay, let's just find them."

"Okay"

**************************************30 minutes later*****************************************

Still Annabeth's POV

We were now with all our friends: Jason, Piper, Leo, Calypso, Hazel, Frank, Reyna, Travis, Connor, Katie, Miranda, Clarisse, Chris, Will and Malcolm in Percy's cabin. We realised that there were letters for all of them except me and Nico. I felt a bit hurt but if he somehow saw James kissing me...  I shuddered at the thought. That kiss had been awful. I longed for Percy's lips to be on mine but he was...gone. I couldn't believe it, but then, i guess if that had just happened to me, I would have done the same.

Jason read his from Thalia out loud. It said:

Dear Jason,

Me and Percy have run away from Camp because there's nothing left for us. I left the hunters for Nico but I saw him kissing Aria, that daughter of Apollo and Annabeth was kissing James, Aria's twin. We are heartbroken but we will cope. At least we have each other. Don't worry about us. We're fine, except for our hearts. 

By now Jason had tears trekked down his cheek and look of anger.

I will not tell you where we are because we don't want anyone but we will hopefully meet each other soon

Jason faced Nico and me and said one simple word. "Why?"

I was so confused, but at the same time, I knew what had happened instantly.

"What?"

"Don't pretend!" He shouted. "You cheated on Percy and Nico broke Thalia's heart so they ran away." I was shocked. He never shouted at anyone. Everyone in the room was silent and looked at us.

"We didn't do anything. Aria kissed Nico and James kissed me. Since they are siblings, we think it's planned. We would never do this. You know that. But we really need to solve this and get Percy and Thalia back."

His anger flared and he said, "Well, what do we do now? They're not just going to appear and we don't even know where they are."
