Kakashi's POV-

He woke up with a slight frown, he dreamed about the trio, that never did him well. He shook slightly, rubbing his hands on his face to calm himself down. He sat on the edge of the bed, his leg bouncing slowly as he calmed.

That morning he took a hot shower, not even feeling the sting on his back, lost in his thoughts. He hurriedly got out putting on some clothes and skipping breakfast, everything made him want to vomit these days he barley ate, his weight dropping slightly.

Brandon gave him a ride again and they talked for a short period of time before arriving. He felt better with someone by his side, like what happened yesterday wasn't so bad. Obito leaned against his locker, smirking at Kakashi as he passed. He stuck up his middle finger, ignoring him. He wasn't going to let Obito ruin his day again. He was still trying to get over yesterday.

His periods flew by in a daze and he sat at lunch by himself. He began to do his homework like usual when he felt someone bump into him and the burning sensation of something hot through his shirt. He looked up and saw Obito's grinning face

"Sorry about that" Their was a big slab of steaming pasta on his shirt

"Let me help you out" He feigned being guilty, smearing the pasta further into his white shirt

Kakashi stood up, tears pricking his eyes, Brandon came beside him, analyzing the situation.

"Are you alright?" He asked concerned, leading Kakashi out the cafeteria

"Aww, he's finally found himself a boyfriend" Obito teased as they walked away, some on-lookers laughing.

They went to the bathroom and started scrubbing away at his shirt with napkins frantically. Kakashi tried his best not to break down into tears, it all was too much. He tried to have a good day and tried to ignore Obito but it was all pointless, he was getting overwhelmed and really didn't want to cry Infront of Brandon. Brandon who noticed his change in demur stopped scrubbing

"Its okay, I wont judge" Brandon gave him a hug and Kakashi felt way better after it.

After school Brandon drove him home and he felt at peace. As he sat on his bed he thought about Rin and about visiting her. He stepped outside once again, beginning to walk to the hospital. The sun was setting and the sky was painted in a orange and pink ombre. The rain from the day prior giving the air a fresh smell he welcomed. He had a better outlook now that he got to see Rin.

Walking into the hospital, he greeted the staff, going to her room. She lay there as still as a statue, her skin looking as fragile as glass, he used to be too scared to even touch her or hold her hand, afraid any life left in her would perish. For a long time he sat there, watching her, the  window beside her painting the room in a hue of orange and pink, he opened the window and wind flowed in, her hair flowing a bit. He'd do this often, to distract him from her stillness, to instill movement in her somehow.

He held her hand, beginning to speak.

"I miss you, we all do, me and Ob-" He paused his voice shaking,  deciding he didn't want her to know, he wanted everything to be well.

"Me and Obito are well, we're just waiting for you Rin" He said with more confidence, his grip tightened on her hand and he decided it was time to leave, he didn't want to cry Infront of her, to tell her about how hurt he's been these days and how every day without her was hell. He watered some flowers beside her bed, presumably from Obito, laying his head on the desk, watching her for a little longer her hair flowing, curling in the wind, it had grown so much longer.

He stood up, the pain of leaving her hit him each time. What if she was pronounced dead and he had just left moments before, he thought negatively each time, its been a year. He shut the window, her hair immediately falling back down over her chest, lifeless, like nothing had happened. A complete statue.

He walked out, bumping into someone, he turned to apologize when he noticed a familiar face. Tsunade stared back, her face lighting up.

"I didn't expect you here" She bumped his shoulder playfully, Kakashi smiled.

"I didn't expect you either" He replied

"Why are you here?" She asked, looking at him.

"Im visiting a friend" He replied.

They continued to walk, Tsunade, stopping Infront of someone's room.

"Im here to visit my grandpa, he sprained his leg, I've been checking up on him" She leaned against the doorframe, looking at his sleeping figure. She walked into the room, pulling a blanket over him.

"We don't have much family down here." Her tone abstruse.

"He's lucky to have you taking such good care of him" He said softly, she turned back, smiling at him"

"Thank you." she paused "Who's your friend? If you don't mind

He was reluctant at first but he knew Tsunade was no harm. They began to walk to her room and he stopped Infront of the doorframe.

"She's pretty" Tsunade said softly, watching her.

"Beautiful" He said back.

"She's lucky to have you taking such good care of her" She said with a smile, and Kakashi smiled back.

After a while he closed the door and they walked down the corridor, sitting in the front chatting by the vending machine. He never stayed in the hospital long after visiting Rin, but as they spoke he got used to it. He was prepared to leave when he saw Obito checking in, with a bouquet of flowers, similar to the ones he saw by Rin's bedside table.

He walked past the lobby, his relaxed face, free of the taunting expressions. It was a rare siting Kakashi felt his heart flutter. Even after all that he did. He stared at him, and Obito glanced behind, them two locking eyes, his cheeks flushed in embarrassment and he quickly said goodbye to Tsunade leaving the hospital.

His heart raced and he hated it. He wanted to hate Obito, but he couldn't. He hurried home, as night approached and skipped dinner, heading straight to bed. He had to get that idiot out his mind. Despite the initial beginning of his day, he fell asleep with a smile, and the visual of Rin's hair flowing in the wind, in a orange-pink ombre room on his mind.
