The trip to South Korea was much longer than I had imagined. Of course, we couldn't drive a limousine from The Middle of Nowhere, Nebraska all the way to South Korea. We instead took the Bangtan Submersible, a bright purple submarine bedazzled with chipped, painted figures of BT21 characters.
"Wow... the Pacific Ocean is so deep!" I mumbled to myself. I can't believe this is really happening. I'll actually become the 8th member of BTS!
I looked around the submersible. All seven members sat next to each other, with the exception of Jin. He was looking out the submersible through one of the small glass windows, humming a familiar tune.
"Chamchi!" Jin shouted with a sudden burst of energy, before resuming his humming. Namjoon wacked him with the back of his hand, sending a shiver down my spine. Would he be throwing dishes at my head, too?
After a 5 minute long journey, the submersible parked in a secret fake rock underneath the Incheon Port. Taehyung opened the submersible hatch from the roof, water flooding in. One by one, the members stacked in a piggyback, Namjoon holding them all up. They crawled out as the water rose to our knees.
"I- H-help!" I stuttered. I hadn't tried speaking loudly after the coma, but my stuttering issue wasn't as drastic in the waking world. My petite minuscule frame that weighed approximately 4 pounds was slowly floating up towards the ceiling. From my coma, which I had learned only lasted for two days, I lost 100 pounds, making my frame even more petite, tiny, and smaller than it was before.
Taehyung grabbed me by my bony shoulders, whisking me out of the submersible while he yelled at the others to evacuate. Accurate to my dream, he sounded like a military sergeant.
We swam up to the port, completely drenched in water. Taehyung pulled all of the members out of the water, while Yoongi helped with the luggage. As Namjoon was hoisted up first, he opened his saxophone case and began playing as the rest of BTS climbed out from the water.
From there, we drove straight to Seoul. The limousine we took was midnight black, not a flamboyant purple. Yoongi held the door open for me while Jungkook tried to slam it with my heel outside of the vehicle.
"YEEEEEEEOWCH!" I squealed, my minuscule body taking a tumble as I stumbled over the pain. I could hear Namjoon scolding Jungkook outside, but Jimin seemed amused by his prank.
I took the time in the limousine to try and get to know BTS better. "H-hi.." I said as I walked up to Kim Namjoon, tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
He glared at me, sideyeing and giving a knowing glance to the other members.
"Hey," he smiled, readjusting himself on the seat. "'You excited?"
"I-I-I-I-I g-g-g-guess so.."
He laughed, cracking a dish over my head. I pressed charges, returning to my seat in a fit of sobs.
"Yoyoyo I'm your hope you're my hope, I'm J-Hope!" I heard a voice from behind me exclaim.
I turned around to see one of the members standing behind me. I smiled as he socked me in the face.
"Are you ready for the BTS life??"
"U-u-u-u-uh.." I gulped, nervous. "I guess so.. I've never been away from my family before, though."
"Oh, that must suck," he said, taking off his sunglasses. I nodded, trying not to stare directly into his brown marble orbs.
After a bit, the limousine stopped outside of a giant mansion. I gaped in awe of the structure, which was nothing like the dorm we shared in my dream.
We wheeled into the expansive parking lot, unloading the bags. I picked my suitcase up, heading towards the gigantic building.
"Yo, Y/N, where are you going??" I heard Namjoon yell from behind me. I turned around, gesturing towards the giant mansion. "Ohh..." he laughed, "Y/N, those dorms are reserved for TXT. Our dorms are over here."
I turned around as he pointed to a small shack, barely any bigger than the kitchen cabinet I thought of.
"W-w-w-wait, why does TXT need those gigantic dorms? Don't they have like five members?"
At my question, they all immediately broke into a fit of laughter.
"Y/N, where do you think they would put all the trash and junk from a regular dorm?"
With that, we headed inside the compact, raggedy shack. The walls were barely held together by a few bolts and screws.
"Ok, so, I know it looks a bit small," Jin giggled, "But we'll just have you sleep outside. If anything happens, just shout!" He shoved me out the door, tossing out a sparkly purple sleeping bag.
I sighed, shuffling to the side of the shack and plopping the sleeping bag down on the dead grass. The sky was too polluted with the lights of Seoul to see any stars, so I was left staring at a pitch black canvas the whole night.
I tossed and turned for a bit, unable to fall asleep. The cars zooming past on the highways kept me awake, especially the ones that revved up their engine.
What felt like hours later, just as I was finally drifting off to sleep, I heard a loud banging and crashing coming from the gate. I sat up, rubbing my eyes. I was blinded by the bright headlights of another vehicle, straining my orbs.
"H-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-hello!?" I half-shouted, still not fully awake. The vehicle continued its path towards me, unwilling to slow down. "S-S-S-S-STOP!!" I squealed, hands covering my head.
The tires screeched on the pavement as the vehicle slowed to a halt. I moved my hands away from my face, trying to get a glimpse of who the driver was.
I heard one of the car doors open and slam shut, heavy footsteps following. I scrambled towards the shack, trying to put distance between me and the mysterious figure.
"So.. you're the 8th member of BTS." The voice didn't sound familiar.
"Wh-wh-wh-who are you?" I shivered, cornered.
The shadowed man smirked. Before I could even blink, 6 others appeared behind him, lining up into some sort of group pose.
"Heh.. I'm Nishimura Riki." The man pulled the hood from his face, revealing himself. I remembered him.. the youngest member of-
"E-E-E-ENHYPEN??" I tried not to raise my voice, as I'm not loud and annoying like other girls.
One of them laughed before stepping forward. "You're coming with us."
