10 years old...

It had been around 4 years since I had last seen Davis. Yet, he came on my mind every once in a while. It was the first day of school, I was excited to get out my house after being stuck at home for over a month. Even though no one actually talked to me, I loved school. I loved its environment. I have been here ever since I got to the age of being in school. This school was my comfort spot. Somewhere I can clear my mind.
I don't know where or when I saw him first, but I did. He was back, he was in my class again. He sat on the 3rd row while I sat on the 1st. And it felt like all my feelings came rushing back.
We didn't acknowledge each other, but we both knew we were there, sitting only a few feet away from each other.
My feelings were complicated, I mean, it was just a silly little childhood crush. I had a feeling that I didn't actually like him anymore like I did back then. But it didn't stop me from sneaking a few glances at him now and then...
He looked just like he used to, only a little older. Though his hairstyle changed a little, but he was still the same.
Over the year, I noticed that he had become the troublemaker of our class. He would spent half his classes standing outside our class, as punishment. Though, he always found a way to entertain us. He did small dances outside our classroom window when the teacher wasn't looking.
After school ended that year, it was our yearly vacation, when I got a text from some unknown account on my social. I was confused. For some reason, the name was of another classmate of mine. I asked who it was. He replied:
Hey, it's me, Davis.
I was confused of why he would even text me. And I replied with:
I want proof.
So he send me a picture of himself. For some reason, I was furious of why he would even text me in the first place. I had a reputation that I never talked to any boys, much less even touch them. Here he was, texting me with no care of the world.
I ended up sending him a bunch of gifs of an angry raccoon slamming its hands on the table. In return he just sent me a few laughing emojis. And told me to chill out. We never talked much after that little 'conversation' of ours. I deleted our chat since I didn't want my parents to find out that I had talked to a boy. Especially him, considering his reputation at our school...
