Sans looked very... stuck...on what to do, very caught off guard. I... thought I would take a stab at easing the tension.

"Well this is...orchid," I had said while rubbing my eyes to dry them, Sans laughed softly but it's the least I'd ever seen him laugh at a joke.

"heh..." his laughs faded quickly but his voice was calmer, "does crying mean you-"

"SANS!"

I turn my 'head' in the direction of the voice, Sans does too.

"what in the..." Sans managed while staring at the same thing I am, I used my leaves to dry my still teary eyes.

"Is that...nooo way" I managed, smirking slightly my voice still had been kind of weak from crying.

"SANS! DID I JUST HEAR A PUN?!"

Sans had just stared at Papyrus in shock as his brother ran over.

"bro...we were...kind of having a moment back there,"

"BUT YOU MADE A PUN!"

"pap i don't even..." Sans looked at me for a second.

"i...i don't even...how did...you even get down here?"

"THE POWER OF HATING PUNS, OF COURSE!"

Sans looked even more confused at this, but I just smirked...I wasn't crying anymore so...I was feeling a whole lot more comfortable... plus I realised a confused Sans was better than the alternative I'd seen earlier.

"i...that literally answered nothi-"

"SANS PROMISE YOU WILL STOP MAKING PUNS!"

"i... i don't know why i'm even playing along but that wasn't me..."

"WELL WHO ELSE COULD IT BE SAAAANS?"

"Ugh... down here," I gingerly raise a vine.

Papyrus jumps slightly at my voice before looking down at me.

"FLOWEY! YOU MADE THE PUN?"

"You haven't seen me for a year and that's the first thing you say to me...wow" I mutter under my breath, Sans just smirks at this.

"Ugh yeah...yeah I did," I replied

"OKAY THEN!"

"wait that's it? i...i'm...so lost" Sans replied. Sans looks completely dumbfounded.

"YEAH ITS FINE WHEN HE DOES IT!"
