The fields of wheat gently rustled with the wind as the sun slowly edged towards the horizon. The sky was clear, and stars were gently flickering to life. The farm was mostly quiet, with the occasional burst of sound coming from the barn.
Inside the barn, up in the loft, Peridot was rambling furiously into her tape recorder as an experiment in front of her was finally producing the fruits of her labor.
Laying in a cat bed in front of her was a small, previously undiscovered creature from a very distant planet. She had found it while on an adventure, and had taken a liking to it. She had named it Crunch, in reference to its exceptionally loud eating noises. It looked similar to an octopus, but with only five tentacles, each of which only has one oval sucker on the bottom. It's main body was about the size of a soccer ball, and it had three large eyes on one side, and a small lump on the back.
Peridot was excited because she was finally going to be able to record information on it's gestation period. She had been studying it for months now, but within the last few weeks, the lump on its back had grown to almost the size of its main body. Inside the sac were what seemed to be a dozen or two eggs that were about golf ball size.
"Crunch is currently eating some corn." Peridot narrated into her tape recorder "After a month of this diet, their eggs have grown greatly, and they seem full of energy. The gestation period is unknown, but I imagine that Crunch must lay these eggs soon." She pet Crunch gently, and they nuzzled against her hand affectionately. "Crunch's affection for me seems to have grown as well. Maybe it is because I feed them."
Once Crunch was done eating, Peridot watched as they wiggled out of bed and towards her, nudging her feet. She smiled and sat down criss cross on the floor in front of them.
"Was dinner good?" She cooed, as Crunch crawled onto her lap. She pet them gently, realizing too late that Crunch had begun oozing out a thin, sticky substance. Peridot began to feel her body temperature rising, and she used her clean hand to turn her recording on before anything else could happen.
"Crunch has begun secreting...something! I'm not sure what it is, but it definitely is having an affect on me." She played with it between her fingers, sniffing it nervously. "It smells salty, like the ocean at Beach City. And...ohhh." Her body spiked in heat, and she could feel a gentle tingling begin to radiate from her core. "The ooze is causing my body to react. I can feel my heat rising, my muscles relaxing....and...I think it might be making me...aroused. Crunch is secreting a- an aphrodisiac!" Peridot momentarily forgot her physical state as she was overcome with excitement. "Crunch might be preparing to lay the eggs! This is wonderful!"
Peridot grabbed Crunch gently, hoping to put them back in their bed before the laying started, but they wriggled out of her hands and latched on to her stomach.
"Oh!" She said, startled. Before she could pry them off, she could feel their back tentacle begin to slither its way between her thighs. All of a sudden, the gentle tingling grew in intensity, and her knees almost buckled.
"Oh, my stars!" She cried, stumbling in the direction of the ladder. She was hoping to get to Little Homeschool for assistance, but another wave of heat made her finally collapse to her knees.
Crunch's sucker had latched onto the erogenous zone between her legs, and was rapidly sucking. Her clothing was still on, but even through the thin covering she could hardly handle the stimulation.
Peridot's common sense was telling her to get someone to help her, but....
She wanted to know why Crunch was behaving like this.
Maybe they needed help laying their eggs.
So she shuffled on her knees back to her couch, and lay across it, petting Crunch gently.
