-Saturday-

"Think it'll go better this time?" I ask Will as we go to the Jackson-Blofis apartment door. Just like he said, he's still with me. He's going to come with me every week as long as nothing big and crazy happens. In which case, I wouldn't go without him.

"I do. It'll be a little better just because we know what to expect this place to be like." He says.

"And that they're really nice." I add.

"For sure. They were some of the nicest people I've met." He agrees with me, "And their baby is so cute, I might take it."

I'm pretty sure he's joking about that. If not, we're going to have a major problem.

"We can't raise a baby."

"But~ it's cute and I want it." He sighs.

"No. Take parenting classes first." I tell him. I put my hands in my pockets, refusing to knock on the door.

"You're right. That's the responsible thing to do. Lucky for me, I don't need classes to play with her while you're busy." He says, reaching out and knocking on the door for me.

"Is that what you're going to do?"

"I am. I'll be ready if you need me, though. Don't worry about that."

I figured he'd sit with me, at least for a while. On the other side of things, maybe him being away from me will make me feel less embarrassed and focused on him. I might be able to get things done if Will isn't in the same room as me.

"Thanks, stay close." I say either way. I don't need to get things done, I need Will.

"How close? Do you want me to start with sitting with you or will that be too much?"

"If you could...?"

The door opens. It's Paul. Which is disappointing, because Sally is so much better. She's more inviting, and...I know her, at least better than I know him. I've heard many, many good things about her.

"Hi guys! Why don't you come in." He smiles at us, stepping back.

Will leads me inside, sticking close, just like he should. "Hi Paul. How's it going?" He asks.

"It's going good here, how about you two?"

"Can't complain!"

I can complain. I can always complain about something that's going on in my life at any given moment. That being said, when it comes to me and Will, we're doing good right now, I can't complain about that.

Sally is on the couch with the baby. I don't look at her for longer than a second; I don't look at Paul either. I can't.

I squeeze Will's hand so he remembers to stay close to me. Not that I think he would forget.

He doesn't move even slightly away. "Can I sit with you guys for the first while? Just so he's more comfortable? I won't interrupt." I don't like that he's pinning that on me, admitting that I'm the reason he needs to stay in with me, but whatever it takes, I guess.

"Of course, I figured we'd try setting up at the table, and if that's too distracting, we'll go to the office." Paul says.

"I don't get distracted easily." I claim.

"You have ADHD, don't you? If you're affected in any way that Percy is, you do get distracted easily."

"I think we have different types." If there are different types, we have different types.
