Chapter 1 - Newbie

Hey. Uhh... hey, I'm Beatriz Adams. A grade 7 student in my new school, Sensei Wu's Academy. I'm really nervous to you guys, talking like mom will think that ' are u talking to urself again, honey?' So yup. I was the literal weird gal in the house because sometimes when I watch stuff on YouTube and began to act weirdly, they will just talk trash behind me.

Let's talk about my new school, shall we? My previous school doesn't have its own high school building and it is located far away from New Ninjago City so my mom and I decided to live here for my education's sake, cuz I ended up being the 3rd Honorable Mention last Grade 6. Not too smart as our Valedictorian, tho. But I expect that I'm not the only smart one in my new school right?! I was just thinking, what if I am the only one? Dude I'm so weird!

I heard that there are 'ninjas' in the world of Ninjago? No, not literally from the name itself but, I thought ninjas are fictional characters only? Like in the cartoons, movies and stuff. But yeah, they were like too young to be ninjas, right? I thought they're in their twenties but, I heard they are just high school boys acting mature during missions. And they actually study in the same school I'm enrolled to!! Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to meet them because yah know, I actually didn't saw nor know their names before, tee hee.

This is the first day of classes actually, and my mom's going to take me in my new school using that flying modern car created by the famous Cyrus Borg. Well, this is going to be good.

" Sweetie, don't forget to eat ur food during recess and lunch time okay? And if u have assignments, copy it in ur homework notebook okay? Just be a good girl. " mom said letting her kiss me on the cheeks.

" Yah mom, I promise. Just pick me up around 4 PM okay? " I said while mom proceeds to the groceries. " Sensei Wu's Academy, huh? Classic. "

I proceed on the main entrance where there are a LOT of kids running around and talking about ' how was ur summer? ' and stuff. I think I am in the grade school buliding because I don't see any teenagers rooming around. And then when I was actually looking how big this academy is, I accidentally bumped to a girl who's definitely a high school student.

" Oh I'm sorry! You must be new here, aren't you? What's your name, by the way?" She said calmly without introducing herself first.

" Uh, Beatriz Adams, but u can call me Bea. " I said nervously then she smiled at me.

" Oh hi Bea! I'm Nya. Nya Smith. A grade 9 student. U must be a grade 7 student, huh? Proceed to the high school buliding just straight forward and take the stairs through the 2nd Floor and u will find the Grade 7 rooms. " she said and I was like "woah! How did she know I am a grade 7 student? "

" Oh thanks, Nya. Nice to meet u by the way. Thanks for the directions !" I was feeling close tho. But it's okay to have a lot of friends on the first day of class!

When I reached the 2nd floor, I saw 3 sections of Grade 7. How should I supposed to know what section do I belong?! I was so stressed but I actually realized that there are names listed in every section. So I saw my name in the class of 7- Wind, I guess it's an elemental power. I was in the no. 1 because the names were listed alphabetically, so I proceeded to the room and it's kinda awkward because they were all like quiet and just staring at me. Well I don't care.

I looked at the faces of my classmates to memorize what they looked like in case I'm lost. I admire all of them, but I admire that blonde guy the most. Tee hee, he looks cute by the way. I was so shy to go near him and ask his name, because that would be so awkward as hell so I decided to count the seats from me to him because it says on the board " seat according to your class number ". He is the 8th student so I looked at the names outside and I figured out he's Lloyd Garmadon? Wew nice name tho.

The bell rang and we fall in line, so it means it's the flag ceremony in the court downstairs. I never thought I was small because before I was always near at the back but I felt like ' did I shrunk? ' because I was the 4th smallest in the line. The girl in front's really small like she is just in grade 3. And guess what, I was standing beside with this 'Lloyd' so it means he's also the 4th smallest guy.

We sat down in the gym still in a line and according to height. And now he's seating beside me xD I wanted to talk to him but I pulled myself not to do dat xD too bad.

Finally, someone spoke in front. It is an old guy who has a long, loooong beard and dressed like he is a sensei. I think he's the actual Sensei Wu!?

" Welcome back, students of Sensei Wu's Academy! I'm glad to see these angelic faces of you and I'm able to teach you again! For those who are newbies in the academy, I welcome you, as the director, to Sensei Wu's Academy! I'm Sensei Wu. That's it thank you. But! Do you guys wanted to see the 'ninja'?" He asked everyone and all had said YES but I think I'm the only one who said ' MAYBE? '.

" Ok first of all, these boys had saved Ninjago a hundred of times so I want you kids to know them. Let's start with Kai Smith the Red ninja, Jay Walker the Blue ninja, Cole Brookstone the Black ninja, Zane Julien the White ninja and lastly, Lloyd Garmadon the Green Ninja! Please stand in front boys" He said while waiting these boys to stand up.

Seriously? One of them is my classmate?! He is the prophesied Green Ninja I heard from the news??!! I'M SO FRICKING LUCKY!! But I'm still surprised tho.

"HEY STUDENTS! This is Kai Smith of Grade 8 - Fire and I'm exactly the Fire Ninja! I'm so HOT right?! Right?!!!" He said getting the whole school's attention and saying YES. Wait, I think the girl named Nya, I'd met before and this guy are siblings, I guess? They have the same surnames and they actually looked like each other.

"HEY THIS IS JAY, JAY WALKER! And I have the power of LIGHTNING!!! Don't expect me to jaywalk around the streets because I'm going to--". "This is Cole Brookstone and I am the EARTH NINJAAA!!! Nailed it, Jay!" These two act like frienemies but I found them so cute while talking to each other tho :)

" Hello my co-students, I am Zane. The White Ninja. It is ICE to meet you!" He said calmly that he looked like a real gentleman. I heard girls screaming because he really looked like an heartthrob of this school.

"Eh.. HEY! I'm Lloyd Garmadon! Son of Lord Garmadon! Student of Sensei Garmadon! And I'm the Green Ninja!" This guy's the weirdest. But I really admire him a lot because I can't believe he's the Green Ninja and he's the son of this Lord Garmadon who's the evil guy before. But he looked like a ten year old kid. Seriously.

That ceremony took an hour to finish and it's actually recess time already. This day's start was kinda good because I haven't met bad guys yet, just good guys. But I hope this day ends good too.

After we stood up and formed a line again, someone touched my back that got my attention. It was a straight-haired girl who had that bright hazel hair who touched me.

" Hey, ughh. You must be Beatriz, you're new right?" She said peacefully. She looked friendly.

" Yeah. But call me Bea. Uhh.. why did u actually touched me?" . " Oh, I'm new here too! I wanna ask something, whom among the 5 was the cutest?" She said having that small smirk on her lips. I don't wanna say it but I found all of them cute but I cannot tell who's the cutest.

" I guess I don't wanna talk about it, hehe" I said proceeding to our room getting our food for recess while this girl who's also new is still chatting to me about the ninja.
