Weeks later..

'Girlfriend ?' You thought to yourself, feets kicking in the air as you layed down your bed. Preparing yourself to sleep

It couldn't go any better.

But silly you.

_

You live in a house, in New York, and work as a gas station attendant.
You work an average wage and you're lifestyle isn't that much stressful, so you're at least happy to be able to pay rent properly and buy enough food for the week without feeling a constant pressure.
You have friends but barely talk to them, except on the week-ends to entertain yourself.
Why need friends when you have a whole bookcase  filled with thousand pages books to finish ?
Ambitious, clumsy, and rather Calm.
It's you. (Sorry if you'd prefer to be different, it's just to match the interaction lol).

FLASHBACK

It was Sunday, and unfortunately, you had to work today instead of attending a karaoke night at your friend's house.

As your shift was winding down, a car pulled into the parking lot. The driver seemed to be struggling to get the car to function properly. With no other customers around, you decided to help out.

You approached the car and saw the driver, who had just stepped out and was opening the hood. He was of average height but still taller than you. He had brown eyes and short brown hair, and he looked extremely tired in what appeared to be a milkman uniform.

"Hi! Need a helping hand over there?" you asked with a polite grin.

He glanced at you, his face still emotionless. "Mmm. Yes, actually..." he said, explaining his problem. Given the time of day and the evening rush, his frustration was understandable.

You quickly assessed the situation, using your experience from helping your dad with his off-work clients. After a few minutes of diagnosing and fixing the problem, you managed to get the car running smoothly again.

"All set," you said, closing the hood and wiping your hands on a rag. "Should be good to go now."

The driver gave you a faint, grateful smile.

'Not even a thank you ? But still..'

"He has a beautiful voice," you thought to yourself. "Wait a second... What am I thinking about? I mean, he kept staring at me earlier while I tried to fix his engine. Wait- No, it's totally normal to do that.. but in a way, he didn't look at what I was doing or if his car wasn't fuming. Yet he hasn't shown any emotion. HOLD ON. Maybe he has a condition where he just can't move his facial muscles? Gee I really am the worst."

As soon as he got back into his car, you snapped back to reality and pulled out a card with your dad's number and business details.

"Wait, by the way!" you shouted as you handed him the card. He turned to you, raising an eyebrow. "Here's my dad's contact information. If you have any more problems, just mention you're a friend of Y/N, and he'll give you a discount."
