Chase had just wrapped up a photo shoot for his latest collaboration with the brand when he received an invitation to an exclusive hockey game after-party. I wasn't a huge sports fan, but the promise of a VIP experience and potential content opportunities was too good to pass up.
There he met Raj: athletic, dark, with piercing brown eyes and dark brown hair, which seemed to see right through Chase. They collided, literally, when he accidentally spilled his drink on him.
"Very sorry!" Chase exclaimed, mortified.
Raj simply laughed and handed her a napkin. "Don't worry, I needed a break from the spotlight anyway."
Their eyes met and Chase felt a spark he couldn't ignore.
As they separated for some cool drinks, Chase couldn't help but sneak glances at Raj, who was now chatting with Wayne. From their conversation, she learned that he was the team's star player, known for his charisma on and off the ice. When he caught her looking at him, she flashed a dazzling smile and Chase's heart skipped a beat.
Raj apologized and returned to Chase. "Then what do you do?" he asked, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled.
Chase launched into a passionate explanation of his work on social media and his collaborations with brands. Raj listened attentively, asking thoughtful questions and showing genuine interest. As the night progressed, they found themselves lost in conversation and the noise of the party faded into the background.
Just when things were getting cozy, a camera flash interrupted the moment. "Raj, who is your new friend?" a reporter shouted, looking at Chase curiously.
Raj's expression turned protective and he slipped his arm around Chase's waist. "Just someone I'm getting to know," he replied with a wink, pulling her closer...
The reporter took another photo before security removed him. Raj leaned in, his voice low and hoarse. "Sorry. I guess I'm kind of an attention magnet.
Chase's heart skipped a beat at the proximity. "I guess it comes with the territory," he replied, trying to sound calm.
Raj's gaze traveled over her face, his eyes lingering on her lips. "I'd like to get out of here and get some fresh air. Do you want to join me?"
Chase nodded and Raj led her through the crowded room, his hand on the small of her back sending shivers down her spine. They stepped out into the cool night air, the sounds of the party muffled behind them.
As they strolled through the deserted parking lot, Raj told him about his passion for hockey, his love for his teammates and his desire to make a difference off the ice. Chase was drawn to his kind heart and sense of purpose.
They reached Raj's mother's car, a sleek black SUV, and he turned to look at it. "I had an amazing time tonight, Chase. Would you like to record dinner with me tomorrow?
" Chase's pulse quickened. "I'd love to," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
Raj's face lit up with a radiant smile. "Great. I'll pick you up at 7."
And with that, she leaned in, brushing him lips against his in a soft, gentle kiss...
