After a terrible incident, Octavia has to move from Berlin to her father and his new family in the USA. A new fresh start in a lovely small village called glade city near the beach, a life everyone else would dream of. But not Via, she refuses to accept this place as her home or to make any friends. Her past is haunting her, all she wants is to go back and get adopted by her aunt.
Due to her bad grades her father gets Via a tutor, who eventually manages to open her stone cold heart a bit.
