Chapter 16

Water seven, Grandline

Jon POV

He was in the hotel room, thinking about what happened. How would it affect the crew?. Usopp was too attach to the Merry. Yeah, it has been his home as well for the last weeks but the Merry was very damage.

Flashback

It was at this point that Jon knew the Straw Hats were in danger of breaking up. Everything started when Luffy and Nami come back without Usopp. Apparently, he was later found brutally beaten by some thugs after they stole their money. Luckily, it was only half of it but still. They have beaten one of them and they went to retaliate. Jon and Robb were forced to stay with Nami, as everyone else went. Robin, his mother figure was missing and he was worried according to Chopper, she mysteriously disappeared. After they returned and Chopper patch up Usopp. Luffy informed them what Jon already knew, as Kaku confirmed Jon's suspicions. But when they told Usopp...

"You can't believe him!!!" Said the bandage up Usopp "Merry can be saved?!!". Jon was trying to get their attention, so they can look for Robin but he was been ignored. And even he had enough of Usopp's stubbornness.

"Usopp, don't be stubborn!!!" Jon said "it was fine when you didn't believe me, as I am just a cabin boy but Kaku is a shipwright and he knows about this stuff!!!"

"Just shut up!" Screamed Usopp "we can't abandoned her!. She is part of the crew!!!"

"Usopp, there is nothing we can do" said Luffy "and I already made my decision"

"Well, I don't agree with it!!!!" Screamed Usopp

"Usopp, that's enough!!!" Said Jon "Luffy maybe childish sometimes but he is our captain!!!. You have to respect him, not matter what!!!!"

"So, your siding with him?!" Screamed Usopp "fine, then I am leaving!!!"

"If you want to leave, so fi..." Luffy started screaming in anger but Sanji kick him and sending him flying to a table

"That's enough!!!" Said Sanji "don't even say things like that again!!"

"You know what?" Said Jon angry "fight all you want!. I am going to look for my mom!!!". Jon then left in anger, ignoring everyone, including Robb, who didn't say anything until now. After taking his things, Jon went to city for a walk. But when it started raining, he had no choice but to took refuge on a hotel, where he payed for a room with the money Nami gave him. He went to his room and lie down on the bed.

His thoughts were interrupted when he felt Luffy with his haki and the others inside the hotel. He went out of his room and went looking for them. When he saw the state of his captain and the tears, he knew it ended up bad..

"Captain, I am sorry for leaving like that" said Jon "it was very disrespectful"

"It was better you weren't there, Jon" said Luffy "Usopp challenge me for the Merry and we fought. I got to admit he did great but he was for too overconfident and that's why he lost. Although at the end, he got what he wanted. He gor Merry but now he is alone"

"Anyone would be angry if his friends fight like that" said Sanji "and if anyone's mother went missing". Jon look at him surprised "even I have to admit that Robin sees you as a son, kid. You were more worried about her than having a new ship and nobody was paying attention to you while were saying we should look for her and you enter the fight because Usopp already tested your patience"

"Now what?" Jon ask "what do we do?"

"We wait for tomorrow" said Luffy "get back Iceburg-san and choose a ship to be build. Then we continue our adventures, as soon as it's ready. With luck, Usopp re..."
