YOUR POV

Walking into the doorway of my home, I find my husband Zhongli looking at me with mix of anger and frustration. We just stare at each other in silence until his speaks up.

"What are you doing so late at night? And why were you with Childe of all people?"

"First of all my day was great. Secondly I wasn't doing anything with Childe. I didn't even see him today and it's not that late. It's only 11:00... I see your point."

"Y/n I saw you and Childe having lunch together. You know what never mind I know what you guys were doing. I should have never trusted you."

Zhongli mumbled that last part just enough for me to hear.

" Zhongli I wasn't cheating on you! Wh-why don't you see that. I was just having lunch with him. Nothing more!"

I shouted, feeling tears start to collect I look away to not bring attention to it.

" You are cheating on me! Every night for the past week you stay out late, I see you Childe meet together and do something. Last night I heard you talking to Childe near the front door saying ' We can't let him know. If he finds out...' 'Y/n you will need to tell him. It's about him to.' How can I not think that you're cheating!"

" Zhongli just trust me! I'm not cheating and you need to see that! I only love you and only you!"

I say I feel tears running down my cheeks.

" I'm going to go clear my head."

Zhongli mumbles as I see take his ring off and exit our house. When he slams the door I finally break down bawling my eyes out in both frustration and sadness. I start to feel the need to throw up, so I decided to head to our bed room to take a shower and sleep the pain away.

ZHONGLI POV

' I can't believe she would lie to my face. I don't know why she thinks I would trust what she says after all I've seen her and Childe do.'

As I walk to Mt. Aocang I spot Cloud retainer talking to Shenhe. I walk by the two before getting pulled back by Cloud retainer.

"Shenhe please let me talk to Mrs. Zhongli alone."

I watch as Shenhe walks away from the two of us to prioritize herself with something else.

" What's got you all worked up Morax? And don't try to say that nothing is wrong, One knows a troubled person when One sees one. Perhaps is it because of your lady?"

I look at her with shock trying to to see how she could have known. But I put on a calm facade.

"Yes, and I'm guessing you want to hear why."

" Precisely."

As I tell Cloud retainer every detail about Y/n's behavior with her and Childe. I feel myself trying to twist my ring in comfort, only to find that it's not there. I can feel myself becoming more and more guilty about how I acted towards her.

"Morax One knows the reason why Y/n didn't tell you what was happening. Her and Childe were planning for her to tell you some very important news. Life changing if that."

"Why didn't you tell me? What was she planning to tell me?"

" One cannot believe you didn't see the symptoms when she was at home. Morax have you noticed how she been eating weird cravings or how she's in the bathroom in the morning?"

"No I've been more worried about why she was with Childe...wait it's not what I think it right?"

" Yes One knows that Y/n is that pregnant. How dare you leave a pregnant woman at home in an unstable condition! One is done talking!"

With that I watch as Cloud retainer flys alway. When I finally realize Cloud retainers word I rush back home thinking to myself how much I messed up.

YOUR POV

As I watch Zhongli walking away saying over and over

" I will never be with you and that baby! You unfaithful woman!"

" Wait Zhongli please don't leave me, I promise you I didn't cheat on you! Please I need you! Our baby needs you!"

But it was too late, I see him walked away from the house. Falling on my knees I cry over and over. Knowing that my child would not have a dad, I cry even harder. I slowly start to feel myself fall forward. Right before I hit the ground I shot awake feeling my body lunge forward. Feeling my face wet with tears and sweat i decide lay back down trying to calm myself. Closing my eyes I lift up my shirt to feel my stomach. Shifting to my side, I hear the front door squeak open. Keeping my eyes closed I hear my bedroom door open. Knowing that it was Zhongli I keep my eyes closed. But to my surprise I feel Zhongli climb into bed pulling my body closer to his.

" Y/n please forgive me for being ignorant about your pregnancy."

As he lifts my shirt up even higher to rub my belly I hear him continue.

"I'm sorry for blaming you for cheating. I was just worried about you leaving. My whole life would be broken if you weren't in it. I'm sorry for causing the tears on you beautiful face. Cloud retainer told me about what you and Childe were doing and how you were planning to tell me. I want to have this baby with you. All I ask is for you not to leave me....I know you are awake Y/n"

My eyes shot open knowing that he knew I was still awake. I turn over to see his face. I watch as a single tear runs down his cheek.

" Zhongli do you truly want to have this baby with me?"

"Yes it's one of the only things I want in life."

" Zhongli you will have to work hard for causing my tears, causing me stress when I'm pregnant."

I chuckle

"Of course, but let's get some sleep."

He says while he pulls me closer to his body and his hand tightens around my bell as if to protect it. I start to feel myself drift into slumber. Before I slip away into sleep I hear Zhongli speak quietly.

"Y/n as your husband and the father of our child I promise as the geo archon I will protect the two of you with my life."
